I never thought that "a Thai child" would actually have a day working in London. It started with a small dream, but on the way was full of tears, rejection and fear.

But in the end, it's three years that make it so much better to grow up in a leap than I thought. I want to tell you in case someone is fighting something similar. 🩵

First 🧳: Apply for 100 jobs, but no one accepts because of "visa."

You should study Bachelor + Master Marketing & Management with a student visa. After the last semester, you should start applying for a serious job.

More than 100 companies can apply, but they almost always get rejected, and the pain is... it's not because "we're not good."

But because the company didn't understand about visas, the university said, "There's Tier 2."

It's hard to get in, companies have to sponsor, and most of them are top companies like PWC, Loreal, Facebook, which have a lot of competitors, and they only accept a lot of people.

So one day, stressful and thinking, "There's got to be another way... there's got to be something we don't know yet," you start searching like crazy, Google, everything, questions, reading forums and Facebook groups you've never read before.

And finally, Tier 5 Internship Visa (GAE) made us work a lot more practical, legal and easy, but nobody told me. 😭

That was a lot of crying, very tired, but still fighting.

Because it feels like if we're going back to Thailand, we have to go back to our "best efforts."

Stop telling the company in the first place, "It should be a student visa."

Because every time he says... he will close the door in front of us immediately.

So he changed his strategy:

1. Let him see the ability first

2. To the final round, it is described as "really worth working with a legal Tier 5."

3. Proposed to manage all documents

4. Explain the steps clearly as a slide.

It's like a visa consultant for the company to 😂 and it works. The company became more interested because "this child is very proactive and does not burden us at all."

That day was really shocking, because after months, nothing was progressing. Anyway, two emails bounced up in one day. Both of them were Offerjob. It was worth sitting still and speechless. It felt like we were carrying a heavy heart for a long time and it was released in a second. Finally, we chose a job in the Marketing Agency in London, starting as Account Executive, looking after customers like Amazon Prime and FMCG.

☕ Working life in London:

The main job is

* Talk to the client

* Make a campaign brief

* Talk to the creative team

* Synchronize with programmatic team, google ads, out of home marketing and data for customer campaign

* Solve deadlines, change every hour

* Meetings 5-10 rounds per day

* Czech morning work until before quitting

* Do campaign, tell Facebook / Instagram

* Made media plan and financial audit

Tired... but fun. And learned more than I thought.

It should be remembered that the first month of the manager was so fierce that he cried home, but the next day he apologized and said, "He really wants us to do a better job."

From that day on, it began to be understood that Feedback was not an attack, but a teaching, and the other thing that was very pleasant was that it was a lot of work... but it "honored our time." No one expected to answer the chat at midnight, and Work From Home for 2 days / week. Thursday was the free drinks of the office. 🍻

Anyone who wants to go to the gym on lunch can go, and the company gives you an extra 30 minutes of rest.

🌱 faster growth because the "mind is ready to learn."

Keep working, customers start watching in resolution and responsibility.

Until one day... should be promoted from Account Executive → Senior AE → Account Manager within 2 and a half years only

I feel very proud because it's the result of not stopping learning, not stopping developing, and not pouring myself on the heaviest day.

✈️ Things to leave to people who want to work abroad

1. Study the visa yourself. Don't wait for the company to teach.

2. Adjust the CV to the position every time.

3. In the interview, you choose the company like they choose you.

4. Work for the Pro: Speak clearly, get feedback quickly.

5. Consistency wins everything

And the last one...

Foreign countries do not want "the best people."

But want "the most sensitive person + the most understanding of the system."
