... Read moreOkay, Marvel Rivals fans, it's me again! After my initial thoughts in Part 1 about the missing characters in our beloved new game, I've had even more time to play and think. And honestly, the list of iconic Marvel CHARACTERS that haven't made it into the roster yet just keeps growing in my head! It's not just about who's strong, but who would bring a unique flavor and playstyle to the arena. First up on my personal wishlist for characters not yet in Marvel Rivals has to be Daredevil. Imagine the possibilities! His heightened senses could be incorporated into unique evasion mechanics or even a radar-like ability to track enemies through walls for a brief moment. His martial arts skills would make him a fantastic close-quarters combatant, perhaps with a focus on parries and counter-attacks. Plus, Hell's Kitchen needs its devil! His inclusion would add a gritty, street-level hero vibe that's currently underrepresented. Then there’s Doctor Octopus. While we have Spider-Man, adding one of his most iconic villains would be incredible. Doc Ock could be a fascinating tactical brawler. His mechanical arms offer so many gameplay options – grappling enemies, throwing environmental objects, creating barriers, or even using them for enhanced mobility across the maps. He could be a disruptive force, controlling space and isolating targets. I can already picture his ultimate ability creating a devastating field of mechanical chaos! And how about some magical muscle? Doctor Strange is a given, but what about Scarlet Witch or even Ghost Rider? Wanda Maximoff’s reality-warping powers could be a game-changer, perhaps with abilities that debuff enemies, alter terrain temporarily, or even reflect projectiles. Ghost Rider, on the other hand, would bring pure, fiery vengeance. Imagine him riding his motorcycle through the map, leaving trails of hellfire, or using his chains to pull enemies close. His Penance Stare could be an ultimate ability that stuns or deals damage based on enemy aggression – super unique! On the mutant front, I know we have some X-Men, but where's Cyclops or Storm? Scott Summers, with his optic blasts, could be a precision long-range damage dealer, perhaps with ricochet shots or area-denial beams. Storm, controlling the weather, could be an amazing support or area-control character, summoning lightning, creating wind banners, or even limiting enemy visibility with fog. These CHARACTERS are foundational to the Marvel universe and deserve a spot. Finally, I’d love to see someone with a truly unique movement kit like Nightcrawler. Teleportation could open up entirely new strategies for flanking, escaping, or objective play. He could be a high-skill, high-reward character, difficult to master but incredibly impactful in the right hands. It's clear there are so many fantastic Marvel CHARACTERS that could shake up the meta and bring fresh experiences to Marvel Rivals. I'm really hoping the developers are listening because the potential for expanding this roster is huge. What are your thoughts? Who are you desperately waiting to see join the battle? Let me know!
