Looking back at my super blonde hair
My experience as a blondie 💗 I miss it but I also miss my healthy natural hair we are getting her back 👩🏻💁🏻♀️
Going blonde is often seen as a bold and fun style change, but from my experience, it’s definitely not without its challenges. The initial excitement of stepping out of the salon with bright, super blonde hair is undeniable; it feels fresh and transformative. However, maintaining that icy blonde color demands serious commitment. Regular touch-ups every 4 to 6 weeks are necessary to keep roots from showing, which can be both time-consuming and costly. Besides frequent salon visits, the upkeep at home requires consistent use of specialized hair care products. Purple shampoo is essential to neutralize brassy tones and maintain the cool blonde look, while deep conditioning treatments and hair masks help combat the dryness caused by bleaching. I also relied heavily on heat protection sprays since styling tools can accelerate damage to already fragile blonde strands. Despite these efforts, the weeks following a salon visit often left my hair feeling thin and vulnerable. Bleaching strips away natural oils and weakens the hair shaft, meaning that extra care was crucial to prevent breakage. This experience made me realize the importance of balancing style with hair health. Now, as I transition back to my natural dark hair, I appreciate the strength and thickness it offers. While I’ll always have fond memories of my blonde era, embracing my natural hair feels more sustainable and less stressful. For anyone considering going super blonde, be prepared for the maintenance and care it demands—and remember, loving your natural hair is just as beautiful!
