Photos I’ve taken recently
Does anyone know what kind of yarn is in the last photo?
Okay, so you've seen my latest photo dump, and it's got me thinking about how much beauty there is right in front of us every single day! Sometimes, the best pictures aren't planned, but just moments we decide to capture with our phones. I've realized that even a simple walk can turn into a treasure hunt for amazing shots, whether it's a dramatic dark, cloudy sky or a fluffy black and white cat enjoying the sun. One thing I absolutely love to photograph is the sky. It's constantly changing, offering endless inspiration. Whether it's a wide view of a blue sky filled with scattered white cirrocumulus clouds on a clear day, or the breathtaking sight of sunlight breaking through a stormy canvas above silhouetted trees and power lines, there's always a new masterpiece overhead. Don't be afraid to just point your camera up! You might be surprised by the moody vibes or serene beauty you can capture, even with just your phone. Then there are our beloved pets! My black and white cat is a frequent star in my camera roll. Catching them curled up on grey stone pavers outdoors or strolling across a vibrant green lawn really brings their personality to life. The trick is patience and getting down to their level. You don't need a fancy camera to snap an adorable pet portrait; just wait for that perfect, candid moment. And oh, the little things! I love finding interesting details that most people might walk right past. Like that small, light green insect with translucent wings I spotted on a wall – it just screamed for a close-up! Or even something as fun as red jelly cubes arranged in a Pikachu design bowl. It's about looking closely at your surroundings and finding joy in the small, unexpected moments. These are often the pictures that tell the most personal stories. Speaking of personal stories, that fluffy, textured yarn in my last photo has really got me curious! It has such a beautiful blend of light purple and beige fibers, looking so wispy and soft. I'm totally new to yarn types, but I can tell this isn't your average acrylic. Is it a roving yarn, perhaps? Or a special blend? Knowing the type can be super helpful for planning crafting projects, especially if you're aiming for a certain drape or feel. If you're into knitting or crochet, you know how important fiber content and weight are! I'd love to hear from other crafters if they recognize this beautiful skein. So, next time you're out and about, or even just chilling at home, take a moment to really see what's around you. You might just capture your next favorite picture and turn an ordinary day into something extraordinary. What are your favorite things to photograph in your daily life? I'd love to see them!
