🌙 Panic Attack Recovery
Your body is coming back to safety—even if it doesn't feel like it yet.
A panic attack can leave you feeling exhausted, shaky, emotional, disconnected, or even embarrassed. That's because your nervous system just used an incredible amount of energy trying to protect you.
Remember: A panic attack cannot hurt you. Your body is recovering.
🌿 What You May Feel Afterwards
✨ Fatigue or the need to sleep
✨ Shakiness or trembling
✨ Brain fog
✨ Muscle soreness or tension
✨ Headache
✨ Nausea or upset stomach
✨ Emotional sensitivity or crying
✨ Feeling "off" or detached
✨ Racing thoughts about the attack
All of these can be a normal part of the recovery process.
💜 Be Gentle With Yourself
🤍 Drink water.
🤍 Eat something with protein if you haven't eaten.
🤍 Wrap yourself in a blanket if it feels comforting.
🤍 Take slow, easy breaths—don't force deep ones.
🤍 Rest without feeling guilty.
🤍 Listen to calming music or nature sounds.
🤍 Take a warm shower or bath.
🤍 Let someone safe know what happened if you need support.
🌙 Remind Yourself
🌸 "My body is calming down."
🌸 "This feeling will pass."
🌸 "I am safe."
🌸 "My nervous system is recovering."
🌸 "I don't have to rush back to normal."
🌾 What NOT To Do
❌ Judge yourself.
❌ Replay the panic attack over and over.
❌ Force yourself to "snap out of it."
❌ Push yourself before your body is ready.
Healing takes time—even after the panic ends.
🐮 Highland Moon Reminder
Just because the storm has passed doesn't mean the ground isn't still wet.
Give yourself the same kindness you'd give a friend. Rest is not weakness—it's how your nervous system finds its way back home.
✨ Healing happens one gentle moment at a time.
