iOS 26
Messages background
Okay, so like, who else gets tired of the same old plain white or dark messages background on their iPhone? I know I do! I was scrolling through Lemon8 the other day, and saw someone’s super cute chat screen with a Hello Kitty background and I was immediately like, “I NEED THAT!” It really makes your conversations feel so much more personal and fun, right? So, I went on a little mission to figure out how to get that perfect Hello Kitty vibe for my iMessage chats. It turns out, there are a few clever ways to make your iPhone messages look adorable, even if Apple hasn't given us a direct 'change chat background' button just yet (fingers crossed for a future iOS update, maybe even iOS 26, haha!). First off, the simplest way to get a 'Hello Kitty background' or any 'cute iMessage background' is by choosing a fantastic wallpaper for your phone that shines through the Messages app. When you open your iMessage, you'll notice that your chosen wallpaper is subtly visible behind your chat bubbles. So, finding a high-quality 'picture of Hello Kitty' or a 'Hello Kitty speech bubble' image that you love and setting it as your home screen or lock screen wallpaper can instantly transform the look of your entire phone, including your messages! I found some amazing ones on Pinterest and even created a couple myself using editing apps. Just make sure it’s not too busy so you can still read your texts easily. Another super fun way to bring 'Hello Kitty' into your 'iPhone message theme' is by using stickers! The App Store has tons of adorable Hello Kitty sticker packs you can download. Imagine sending a message and then dropping a cute Hello Kitty sticker right on top of a chat bubble, or even sending full-screen effects that feature her. It’s not exactly a static 'messages background iPhone', but it definitely adds that playful 'Hello Kitty chat theme' feel to your conversations. Plus, it’s interactive and always puts a smile on my face! For those of you who are really into customization, exploring third-party keyboard apps can also open up a world of 'iPhone chat theme' possibilities. Some custom keyboards come with their own themes that you can apply, and you might find some that are Hello Kitty-themed or let you use your own images as a keyboard background, which adds another layer of personalization. While this doesn't change the message bubble background, it definitely enhances the overall 'message wallpaper iPhone' experience. I also love experimenting with different color filters and display settings on my iPhone to make my chosen 'message background for iPhone' pop even more. Sometimes just tweaking the display zoom or text size can make a huge difference in how your messages look and feel. It’s all about creating that perfect aesthetic that makes you happy every time you open your messages. So go ahead, find that perfect 'Hello Kitty background' and make your iPhone messages uniquely yours!
