Home for The Holiday by T’Lyn ARC Review
❄️ ARC REVIEW ❄️
@authortlyn is backkkkk and with her first indie release! Congratulations babe !
Home for The Holiday felt like one of those feel good black Christmas movies 😭
The one where both people are just kind of down but keeping that smile on their face?! But here comes the magic of Christmas in the form of that old black lady and the kids?! This was all of that and so much more 😭
I really didn’t want this book to end.
Aspen is a divcored single mama with an aint shiii baby daddy. She’s back in her hometown working at the mall and looking to replace last year’s black Santa. Enter, Zion last year’s Black Santa’s grandson. Zion loves Christmas but his grandfather who everything Christmas to him is no longer with him. So he’s not exactly grumpy BUT he’s not exactly in the spirit.
Zion is instanly atrracted to not only Aspen but has falling in love with her children. This man this man this mannnn!! Thia man stepped in like “Yeah baby how can I be of service to you and my new family” and it was so subtle! 😭
Aspen is doing her best just to raise her kids but you can’t deny a magical Christmas attraction ❄️
These two, with the help of Aspen’s baby girl Noel and Zion’s grandma aka Mrs. Clause 🤭, fall in love with the season again and each other. I can’t get over this book. I feel like turning the TV on to binge watch my favorite christmas movie again 😩
Yall get into Home For The Holiday! Happy Release Day boo!

As a huge fan of holiday romance, I'm always on the lookout for books that truly capture the magic and warmth of the season, and T'Lyn's 'Home for the Holiday' absolutely delivered. When I first heard about this book, with T'Lyn at the helm, I had a good feeling, and it turns out my instincts were spot on! This novel isn't just a story; it's an experience that wraps you up like a cozy Christmas blanket. What truly resonated with me was how perfectly it blended the joy of Christmas with real-life struggles. Aspen, a single mom, is just trying to make ends meet and give her kids a good holiday. Her journey felt incredibly authentic. And then there's Zion, trying to navigate his own grief during a time meant for celebration. Their individual challenges, combined with how they slowly find comfort and love in each other, made the romance incredibly uplifting and believable. It wasn't just instant attraction; it was about two people finding healing and hope together, surrounded by the spirit of Christmas. It reminded me of those classic "Home for the Holiday" feelings we all crave. One of the standout aspects for me was the way the supporting characters brought so much life to the story. Noel, Aspen's daughter, and Zion's grandmother, the delightful 'Mrs. Clause,' weren't just background noise; they were pivotal to the love story unfolding. Their interactions added layers of humor, wisdom, and genuine Christmas cheer that made the whole experience even richer. It’s those small, community-driven moments that really make a holiday story shine, and T'Lyn truly nailed it here. If you appreciate a book where the whole cast contributes to the charm, you'll adore this. For anyone searching for that next feel-good read, especially if you're a fan of authors like T'Lyn who craft stories with heart and soul, I can't recommend 'Home for the Holiday' enough. It’s got all the ingredients for a perfect festive escape: a captivating romance, relatable characters facing real challenges, and that undeniable Christmas sparkle. It's the kind of book you finish with a happy sigh, ready to re-watch your favorite holiday movie or dive into another T'Lyn book. Seriously, pick this one up – you won't regret it!
