⚠️ You Might Never Make Plain Cornbread Again. This Honey Butter Pecan version disappears before it even cools. 🌽🍯

Sweet, buttery, packed with whole kernel corn, toasted pecans, and finished with warm honey, this is the kind of cornbread people keep sneaking “just one more piece” of.

Honey Butter Pecan Cornbread

Ingredients

* 1 can Goode Foods Whole Kernel Golden Corn, drained

* 1 box cornbread mix

* 2 eggs

* ⅓ cup melted butter

* ¼ cup honey

* ½ cup sour cream

* ½ cup chopped pecans

* 2 tablespoons melted butter for topping

* 1 tablespoon honey for finishing

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a cast iron skillet or baking dish.

2. Mix the cornbread mix, eggs, melted butter, honey, sour cream, and drained corn until just combined.

3. Fold in most of the chopped pecans, saving a few for the top.

4. Pour the batter into the skillet and sprinkle the remaining pecans over the surface.

5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Brush immediately with the melted butter and drizzle generously with honey while still warm.

7. Slice and serve warm.

✍️ Extra Goode Tip: Warm leftovers for 15 seconds and drizzle with a little more honey. Somehow it’s even better the next day.

... Read moreIf you're like me, there's something truly comforting about a warm slice of cornbread fresh from the oven. Adding whole kernel corn, like Goode Foods' Whole Kernel Golden Corn®, really elevates the texture and adds bursts of natural sweetness that pair perfectly with the buttery pecans and honey drizzle. I love how this recipe balances richness with just the right amount of sweetness — the sour cream keeps it moist, and the pecans add a satisfying crunch. Using a cast iron skillet gives the crust a lovely golden crispiness. One tip I've found helpful is warming leftovers for just 15 seconds in the microwave and adding a little extra honey. It refreshes the flavors and makes the cornbread taste even better the next day. This recipe is great for gatherings, potlucks, or a cozy family meal. For those who want to experiment, try swapping pecans with walnuts or adding cinnamon for a warm spice note. Also, feel free to use honey varieties like clover or wildflower depending on your taste preference. Overall, this Honey Butter Pecan Cornbread is quick to make but delivers incredible flavor and texture, making it a new favorite for corn enthusiasts and anyone looking to upgrade their classic cornbread experience.

I not crazy about my cornbread being sweet. although I have tried cornbread with sorghum molasses and that is the best thing ever.
