Nail Design Inspo
Since the start and end of the pandemic and the drastic change in our beauty industry; I’ve become more passionate about learning to do my monthly up keep of my hair, skin, and nails on my own. I’m still learning, but this month i thought i would take a crack at doing my own fill-in with builder gel and do my rendition of Kwaii nails (junk nails) I think i did pretty decent for my first try and the nail design is super fun and cute. What do you guys think?
After diving into the world of at-home nail care, I've picked up a few things that I wish I knew when I first started! Doing your own NAIL DESIGNs can be super rewarding, but it definitely has a learning curve. If you're also looking for more Lemon8 nail inspo and thinking about trying builder gel or any DIY nail art, here are my top tips to make your journey smoother: First off, patience is key! My first few attempts at intricate NAIL DESIGNs were... interesting, to say the least! Don't get discouraged if your nails don't look salon-perfect right away. It's all about practice. When working with builder gel, prep is everything. Make sure your nails are clean, correctly filed, and buffed before applying any product. Skipping this step can lead to lifting, which is super frustrating after all that hard work! For finding endless NAIL DESIGN inspo, Lemon8 is truly a treasure trove. I spend hours scrolling through different styles, from minimalist looks to bold, artistic creations. Don't be afraid to experiment with colors and textures! My recent Kwaii nail adventure really pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I loved the process of gathering tiny charms and glitters to create a unique look. You don't need expensive tools to get started either. A good brush set, a dotting tool, and maybe some inexpensive rhinestones can go a long way. Another tip for DIY enthusiasts: invest in a decent UV/LED lamp. It makes all the difference for curing gel polish and builder gel properly. And remember to cure each layer fully to avoid smudging and ensure longevity. Lastly, don't forget top coat! A good quality no-wipe top coat will seal your DESIGN and give it that professional, glossy finish. Sharing your progress and asking for advice on platforms like Lemon8 can also be incredibly helpful. We're all learning together, and there's a huge community ready to cheer you on! So, if you're on the fence about trying your hand at DIY NAIL DESIGN, I say go for it! It's a fun way to express yourself and keep your nails looking fabulous without breaking the bank.
