God Changed Me

There was a time when I went out to the club for the devil… dressed up, smiling, laughing —

sitting there hurting on the inside. I was searching for something I could never find in the music, the lights, or the people around me.But God stepped in.Now I go out for HIM.

Now I walk through apartment complexes with my church, placing newspapers on doors, praying for souls who are suffering the same way I once was.

Now I move with purpose, not pain.This is my testimony.

This is my transformation.

This is what happens when God becomes the One guiding your steps.And the same God who changed me…

can change you too.But you must take that first step — giving God your 100%, placing your life in His Hands sincerely and genuinely. He can’t transform what you won’t surrender.“It is written: Jesus is the lamp to my feet and the light to my path.”

Reflecting on my own faith journey, I can genuinely relate to the struggle of feeling lost despite being surrounded by noise and distractions. The allure of partying and seeking joy in temporary pleasures often leaves a deep ache inside, as I once experienced. It was only when I decided to fully surrender my life to God that I found lasting peace and direction. What helped me move forward was engaging actively with my church community. Together, we reached out to neighbors and those hurting around us, much like the author describes walking through apartment complexes and praying for souls in need. This practical outreach not only strengthened my faith but also gave purpose and meaning to my daily walk. One key lesson I learned is that change requires total commitment. The transformation isn’t instant but happens gradually as you dedicate yourself sincerely to God’s guidance. The scripture Psalm 119:105, "Jesus is the lamp to my feet and the light to my path," perfectly captures the essence of this journey—God illuminating our way through darkness. For anyone feeling trapped by pain or searching for hope, taking that first step of surrender can feel intimidating but is also the most freeing decision. Surrounding yourself with supportive faith communities and seeking prayer can provide the comfort and strength needed to persevere. Sharing testimonies like this reminds me that God’s power to change lives is real and accessible to all who seek Him honestly.
