To produce a new work in Higurashi When They Cry
It has been announced that a new anime will be produced for the TV anime Higurashi When They Cry.
In the PV, the teaser visuals and the main cast are also released, and Soichiro Hoshi plays Keiichi Maehara, Mai Nakahara plays Rena Ryugu, Satsuki Yukino plays Mion Sonozaki and Shion Sonozaki, Mika Kanai plays Satoko Hojo, and Yukari Tamura plays Rika Furute.

Animation production is handled by Studio Dean, who worked on Higurashi When They Cry 20 years ago.
In the teaser visual released at the same time, a smiling Ryugu Rena is drawn along with a copy of "Welcome back, everyone."
In addition, a commemorative logo to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the TV anime has also been released. It has an impressive design with a daily calendar motif that evokes the weight of 20 years and Rena's narrator.
Higurashi When They Cry is based on a video game released by the coterie circle 07th Expansion in 2002. Set in the fictional village of Hinamisawa Village in the late 1975 s, it is a mystery that boys and girls approach the truth of the series of mysterious deaths and disappearances related to the village custom of Watanagashi.
In 2006, the first season of TV animation, and in 2007, the second season, Higurashi When They Cry, was broadcast and became a big topic.
