This from Childish Gambino’s new album
First off I’m in love with this album, especially this song. Definitely on my top for songs on this album it’s giving early 2k late 90’s feel good song that has the global but personal awareness( if that makes sense).
With that being said I’ve been doing a lot of overdue healing through reading, medication, supportive friends, and trauma therapy. Perspective of time changes when you’re healing. It’s bittersweet cause you can’t help but to think of all the time wasted but the hope is that everyday you get another chance to claim your time and energy for the day and the future as much as you can. How do you do that? Be intentional with your time and energy. At a certain age you realize you cannot control too much but what you can control is YOU. Your intuition will allow you to distribute time/energy accordingly. Your intuition isn’t working to well??? Time to go therapy.

It's funny how some songs just hit you right when you need them most. Childish Gambino's new album, especially the track I mentioned, truly feels like the soundtrack to my current healing journey. There's this undeniable energy in it, a reminder that 'We're Running Out Of TIME!' – not in a scary way, but in a 'let's make the most of every moment' kind of urgency for self-care. It really amplifies that feeling of needing to reclaim your time and energy, which is something I've been deeply focused on lately. When I first started diving into serious healing, I felt a bit overwhelmed. "Trauma therapy" sounded daunting, but finding the right therapist who understood my needs was a game-changer. For me, a mix of Somatic Experiencing and CBT has been incredibly transformative. It's not just about talking; it's about understanding how past experiences manifest in your body and re-patterning those responses. Alongside therapy, I've found meditation to be a cornerstone. Simple guided meditations, even just 10 minutes a day, have helped me ground myself and observe my thoughts without judgment. If your intuition feels a bit off, as the original post mentioned, therapy and consistent mindfulness practices can truly help recalibrate it. I used to think meditation was just for gurus, but it’s really about creating space for yourself. Being intentional with my time and energy has become my new superpower. It started with small steps. For example, I now schedule 'me-time' in my calendar just like I would a work meeting. This might be an hour for reading, a long walk, or simply enjoying a cup of tea in silence. I also learned to be okay with saying 'no' to things that don't align with my energy levels or goals. It's about protecting your peace. Another thing I've started doing is a 'weekly energy audit' – reflecting on what gave me energy and what drained it, then adjusting my next week accordingly. This has been crucial in ensuring I'm not just passively letting time slip by. And speaking of feeling good, personal style plays a surprisingly important role in my healing process. When I feel good on the inside, I want to reflect that on the outside. Putting together an outfit, even for a casual day, can be a mood booster. For instance, pairing a classic white sleeveless top with comfortable, light blue ripped jeans, like my A&F curve love ones, creates a relaxed yet put-together vibe. Adding a chic black bag and some stylish sandals completes the look. It's about finding pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. You don't always need designer items like Dior or Tory; the key is finding what sparks joy for *you*. Sometimes, it's about investing in a few quality pieces, and other times, it's about mixing high and low fashion to create a look that's uniquely yours. It’s a way of saying, 'I'm here, I'm healing, and I'm showing up for myself, inside and out.'
