... Read moreHey everyone! Since my first post showed off some of my doodles, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into how I approach art, especially when I'm looking for cute images to draw or just need easy sketches to get my creativity flowing. Drawing is such a joy, and you don't need to be a master artist to start having fun!
Honestly, sometimes the best art comes from just doodling aimlessly. I often find myself sketching little stick figures, like the happy one you saw in my first post, or trying out different expressions on a cute cat, just like my 'first post' cat sketch! When I'm bored, I love to brainstorm *cute things to draw*. Think tiny succulents, smiling stars, or even just a happy piece of toast! These are perfect for practicing lines and shapes without pressure. It's all about having fun and not being afraid to make mistakes. These easy sketches are fantastic for building confidence and just getting your hand moving.
Speaking of drawing, a huge part of my art journey involves creating OCs, or original characters. You might have noticed my anime-style characters with vibrant hair in my post – they start with simple shapes too! When I design an OC, I always think about their personality first. Are they sassy, shy, adventurous? Then I block out basic shapes and start adding details like unique hairstyles or outfits. For example, one of my characters has purple hair and a flip phone, which adds to their vibe and story! It's amazing how much personality you can convey with just a few key elements.
Have you ever drawn something so cute you wished it could be your phone fondo de pantalla (wallpaper)? I definitely have! My digital art, especially the ones with colorful backgrounds like Hello Kitty patterns, often gets me thinking about cool phone wallpapers. When I'm drawing something specifically for a background, I try to keep the main subject centered or consider how it will look with icons around it. Simple, aesthetic patterns or a single cute character can make a fantastic phone background that truly shows off your style.
One of the things that can bring so much life to a character drawing is dynamic hair. I'm always experimenting with movement, and drawing a hair flip is such a fun challenge! To draw a good hair flip, think about the direction of movement and how gravity affects the strands. I usually start with the main mass of hair and then add individual flowing strands. It makes the character look so much more active and lively, adding a real sense of motion to your art.
No matter what you're sketching – be it easy cute images to draw or a complex OC with a hair flip – remember to enjoy the process! Drawing is all about expressing yourself and having a good time. Can't wait to share more of my art adventures with you all!
