DO PEOPLE POST ART HERE ⁉️
Hi idk what I’m doing here.
Im gothitellle (or preferably faye) on tiktok i just transferred my account over to here.
Idk if i will get my following back to what it is on tiktok before it gets banned (30k) which i am pretty bummed about but ig time will tell.
This app does seem to be more engagement focused though which i do like.
Anyways yeah, idk if i should just take all my videos and throw them on here or treat this like a second instagram/tumblr 🫡
When I first landed on Lemon8, just like many of you, I wondered, 'Is this really a place for my sketches?' Especially coming from other platforms, it felt a bit unknown. But after diving in, I've realized there's a vibrant, growing art community here, eager to see new styles and creations! If you're pondering whether to bring your art, especially your detailed Lemon8 sketches or original characters (OCs), my answer is a resounding yes! What I've found works best is treating your posts like a mini gallery. Don't just upload a single image; think about showcasing your process or different angles. For instance, if you have a finished sketch, consider adding a step-by-step of how you got there, or close-ups of specific details. Adding a simple digital frame to your artwork can also elevate its presentation, making it look polished and professional, much like you'd see in an actual art exhibition. This makes your Lemon8 sketches stand out and invites more engagement. One of the biggest differences I've noticed compared to other apps is how much people genuinely interact with art posts here. On TikTok, it's often about quick trends, but on Lemon8, there's a real appreciation for the effort and creativity behind each piece. I've seen artists share everything from quick daily doodles and character design sheets to elaborate digital paintings and traditional sketchbook entries. The key is to be authentic and share what you love to create. When posting your art, make sure to use relevant hashtags like #artstyle, #ocs, #Lemon8Art, #sketches, or even #drawingtips. This helps fellow art enthusiasts discover your work and connect with you. Don't be shy about asking questions or sharing your thoughts on your creative process – people here love to learn and share their own experiences. I've found that engaging with other artists' posts, leaving supportive comments, and asking questions about their techniques really helps build connections and makes the platform feel more welcoming. So, if you're an artist new to Lemon8 and wondering if your sketches belong here, take the leap! This platform offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent, find a supportive community, and even discover new art styles and inspiration. Think of it as opening your own little creative gallery space, where every post is a chance to share a piece of your artistic journey with a curious and appreciative audience. It's definitely a place where your unique art can shine!
