Started the first cut
Starting to cut pups hair. They are reactive and need to be desensitized. Rather do it than have them traumatized (has happened before with my other pups). Plus I enjoy pampering them. Then off to Grammys for a pool party the next day (and they wore the safety vests while outside). Sun and fun knocked them out on the ride home #cavapoos #leoandizzie #puppylife #
Grooming your puppies is an important aspect of their care and well-being. When starting the grooming process, it's essential to create a calm and positive environment for your pups. Begin by desensitizing them to the sounds and sensations of the grooming tools. Using treats and praise can reinforce positive experiences and help alleviate any fears they may have. Many puppies can be reactive initially, making it crucial to take your time and approach grooming in stages. For instance, you can start by gently brushing their fur before introducing clippers or scissors. This gradual exposure not only comfort their nerves but also allows you to bond with them. Additionally, incorporating fun activities—like visiting Grammy’s pool party—greatly enhances their experience. Remember to prioritize safety while outdoors, such as using safety vests when near water. This not only keeps them safe but also ensures they enjoy the day without stress. After a day of adventure, many pups will be tired from the excitement. This natural fatigue can lead to a restful trip home, which is always a bonus after an engaging day out. Overall, grooming and leisure activities go hand in hand in nurturing our furry friends!
