Ever since Noctis joined Tekken 7, the idea of another Square Enix hero gracing the King of Iron Fist Tournament has just felt right. Imagine Clive unleashing his Eikonic abilities in a Tekken match. His swordplay combined with those incredible fiery Ifrit powers would make him such a unique fighter. I can practically hear him shouting, 'To me, flames!' as he ignites his attacks, or channeling Ifrit directly for a devastating Rage Art, maybe even with a line like, 'Our flames burn as one!' The visual spectacle alone would be insane. His moves from FFXVI, like his fiery lunges or powerful stomps, could easily be adapted. Picture him using a quick dash followed by a flaming sword swipe, or a ground punch that erupts into a small Ifrit-like blast. He could even have a unique parry or counter based on his Eikonic feats. His combat style in FFXVI is already so fluid and impactful, mixing swift strikes with powerful elemental bursts. Translating that into Tekken 8 could involve a stance-based system, perhaps allowing him to temporarily empower his attacks with Ifrit's strength, changing his frame data or adding chip damage. We could see him using his Phoenix Shift ability for quick evasions or to close distances, making him incredibly tricky to fight against. Imagine him ending combos with a powerful explosion, forcing opponents to 'stay down!' just like he would after a brutal Eikonic attack in Valisthea. These kinds of dynamic abilities would truly set him apart. Beyond the flashy moves, Clive's character arc – seeking 'atonement' and fighting 'for hope!' – gives him such a compelling presence. This depth could translate into unique win poses or even pre-fight taunts. He's not just a powerhouse; he's a hero with a story that resonates deeply, and seeing that narrative woven into his fighting style and dialogue in Tekken 8 would be fantastic. The game already has such rich lore for its existing characters, and Clive would fit right in with his dramatic background. Of course, the idea of a 'Slip n' Slide Clive' is just a playful thought, but it hints at a character who's agile and perhaps uses sliding attacks or quick evasive maneuvers to get in close, unleashing his full power. He'd definitely add a new dynamic to the Tekken roster, offering a blend of speed, power, and spectacular effects that could shake up the meta. And since we're talking dream characters, I absolutely agree with the original post – Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII would also be an incredible addition!
