Why did the Father suddenly permit men to eat meat

Prior to the flood Genesis 1 states that God gave us every herb bearing seed and every tree, However, God also put man above all animals. 2. God created all animals at the same time so carnivores and omnivores were created along side herbivores. 3. In the Garden Adam and Eve were given clothing made of animals hides so Killing took place and blood was shed. 4. Abel was a shepherd and you would only need a shepherd for larger herds. You wouldn’t need a large herd for 4 people (Adam, Eve, Cane and Abel). Two sheep would produce enough milk and wool for the family. Abel made a sacrifice, so again we see blood spilling and the suggestion that fat was used as fat is mentioned in the sacrifice. In fact, the only thing forbidden in the garden; pre flood, were two types of fruit. One fruit from the tree of knowledge and one fruit from the tree of life. Nothing else is forbidden; in fact, God saw that everything he made was good. So, post Flood in Genesis 9 it simply clarifies that fruits and vegetables and herbs are there but also everything else that roams the earth is there for man to use and that includes to use as food.
