Christian spotify playlist: rap edition part 1

These have been part of my playlist for the past few weeks. I've been trying to find alternatives to secular rap music so that I am feeding my soul and not the flesh. Music has always been a struggle for me but I have done a lot of praying and have went on a mission to find music in every genre I listen to in order to help replace a lot of my secular music. I just felt like some of the songs from my past needed to be laid down and find music that glorified God instead. A lot of secular music just began to make me feel drained but replacing them with something better has put me into a better state of mind! What you listen and expose your self to has a lot of power over the mind so be careful as to what you feed it. Not all rap or hip-hop has to revolve around worldly things! A few of my favorites are:

1. Feminine Not Feminist by Bryson Gray

2. God Had Other Plans by Zauntee

3. Flippen Tables by Tyson James

Artists such as Bryson Gray, Zauntee, and Tyson James offer powerful tracks that combine strong lyrical messages with captivating beats, all while emphasizing devotion and positive values. Christian rap challenges the stereotype that hip-hop must focus on secular or worldly topics. Instead, this genre provides music that is spiritually encouraging and filled with themes of redemption, perseverance, and trust in God's plan. For instance, Bryson Gray’s “Feminine Not Feminist” explores traditional values with a faith-centered perspective, while Zauntee’s “God Had Other Plans” reminds listeners of divine purpose during times of uncertainty. Beyond just being music, these songs can serve as daily reminders to focus on spiritual growth and maintain a positive mental state. Many believers find that Christian rap helps replace negative influences often encountered in secular rap, fostering a mindset aligned with faith and personal well-being. When creating your own playlist, consider including a variety of artists who emphasize different facets of Christian living—whether through worship, motivational narratives, or storytelling rooted in scripture. Incorporating tracks like Tyson James’ “Flippen Tables” adds dynamic rhythms and themes of standing firm in faith despite challenges. Taking time to curate such playlists also involves prayer and contemplation about what you allow to influence your thoughts and emotions.
