Muscles I regret not training as a beginner
Starting my fitness journey, I quickly realized that focusing only on popular muscles like biceps and quads left gaps in my strength and appearance. One major oversight was neglecting my rear delts. These small muscles at the back of the shoulders significantly influence posture and shoulder stability. Incorporating exercises like face pulls and reverse flys not only improved how I looked but also reduced shoulder discomfort. Hamstrings, often ignored by beginners, are vital for balanced leg strength and injury prevention. Initially, I skipped hamstring-focused moves, but once I added Romanian deadlifts and hamstring curls to my routine, I noticed better knee stability and smoother movements during squats and running. Lastly, training the lats was a game changer. Achieving that V-taper dramatically enhanced my upper body aesthetics and boosted my pulling strength. Pull-ups, lat pulldowns, and rows became staples in my workouts. To stay consistent and see progress, I started using the Diyt app to track my weight and BMI. Visualizing my improvements kept me motivated and helped me adjust my exercises to target these muscles more effectively. If you're a beginner, don’t neglect these key areas—they build a strong foundation for both performance and appearance.
