3 ways to take photos on a canoe 🛶
This was the first time I got the chance to hop on and take photos on a canoe! 🛶 I haven't rowed in years but thankfully, we didn't tip over 😅. And since we were limited with space and movement, here are 3 poses to try if you ever get the chance to row one yourself!
1. Take the canoe stick, stop rowing and look to the side confused
2. Put your hand on the back of your hat
3. Turn around and look straight
With or without experience, would you ever consider rowing a canoe?! 🛶

Canoeing offers not only a great workout but also stunning photography opportunities. When taking photos on a canoe, it’s essential to consider safety and positioning, especially if you’re navigating a choppy lake or river. To enhance your canoe photography experience, try incorporating natural lighting. Early morning or late afternoon provides the best light, giving your images a soft, warm glow that enhances their aesthetic appeal. Consider using a floating or waterproof camera case to protect your gear while taking those beautiful shots. It can be a great addition to your canoeing adventure, allowing you to capture underwater moments or splash shots without concern. Practice makes perfect, especially when trying to balance in a canoe; so be prepared to take several shots to get that perfect candid moment! Finally, engage your companions in your photography quest. Capture fun moments with friends or family as you all enjoy the beauty of being on the water. Include some descriptive captions in your photos to remind you of those great experiences later, making your canoe photobook richer in memories!
