My Journey Continues 350 pounds down ☀️☀️☀️
Wow, what an incredible ride it's been so far! When I first decided to really commit to my health, I was at 350 pounds, feeling like the mountain ahead was just too tall to climb. But here I am, celebrating a massive milestone: dropping from 350 lbs all the way down to 250 lbs! That's 100 pounds, y'all, and it feels absolutely amazing. If you're on a similar path, or even just thinking about starting, I want to share a bit about what worked for me, hoping it gives you that little push you might need. My journey wasn't about quick fixes or extreme diets. It was a gradual, consistent effort to change my lifestyle. The hardest part was just starting, and then staying consistent. At 350 lbs, simple tasks felt exhausting, and my confidence was at an all-time low. I knew I deserved better, and that feeling became my biggest motivator. I started by making tiny, manageable changes. Instead of cutting out everything I loved, I focused on adding good things in – more water, more vegetables, and making sure I had protein at every meal. One of the biggest game-changers for me was understanding portion control and learning to listen to my body's hunger cues. It wasn't about deprivation, but about mindful eating. I also found that tracking my food, even just for a few days a week, really opened my eyes to where my calories were coming from. And exercise? Forget intense gym sessions at first! I started with walking. Just 15-20 minutes a day, slowly increasing both duration and intensity. Eventually, I incorporated some simple bodyweight exercises at home. Finding movement I actually enjoyed made it sustainable. There were definitely days I wanted to give up. Plateaus happened, and sometimes the scale wouldn't budge for weeks. That's when my mindset became crucial. I learned to celebrate non-scale victories – fitting into old clothes, having more energy to play with my niece, or simply feeling stronger and more capable. I also built a supportive community around me, both online and offline. Sharing my progress and struggles, and seeing others achieve their goals, kept me motivated. Sometimes, just knowing someone else gets it makes all the difference. This journey is deeply personal, and what works for one person might not work for another. But the core principles of consistency, patience, and self-compassion are universal. Remember, it's not just about losing weight; it's about gaining health, confidence, and a whole new lease on life.
