Reading the book of Jeremiah w/ Jeremiah 🫶
Hey, I just wanted to share something that’s been on my heart. I know burning sage is often used with the intention of bringing peace or cleansing a space, and I understand why that can seem like a positive thing. But as I’ve learned more about it, I’ve realized that it’s rooted in spiritual practices that aren’t from God and aren’t supported in the Bible. As a follower of Christ, I believe that true peace and protection come through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, not from rituals or objects. I say this with love, not judgment—just wanting to encourage you to seek spiritual guidance from God’s Word and prayer instead. I’m always here if you want to talk more about it.#healingthroughchrist #findgod🙏🏼📖 #christiangirldiaries #embracevulnerability #Lemon8Diary
The book of Jeremiah presents profound insights into faith, guidance, and the pursuit of true spirituality. In today’s world, many individuals turn to alternative practices for peace and cleansing, like burning sage, stemming from various traditions. However, these practices often diverge from biblical teachings and can confuse believers seeking authentic connection with God. Jeremiah emphasizes God’s unwavering presence and guidance, writing to a people misled by their own desires and rituals. His messages encourage us to pursue spiritual authenticity through prayer and scripture, fostering a direct relationship with God rather than relying on external objects. As followers of Christ, understanding the roots and implications of such practices is crucial. True peace and protection come through our faith and the Holy Spirit. Learning about biblical teachings equips us with the wisdom to navigate spiritual challenges and reinforces our commitment to following the path laid out in God’s Word. Engaging with the stories and lessons from Jeremiah serves as a reminder of our spiritual identity and the transformative power of faith, inviting us to reflect on our personal practices and belief systems in light of scripture.
