Gluten free find
I guess I was bread hungry 😂
But I was so excited at all the options i found at a Walmart about 30mins from where I live. I tried the Xtreme wellness tortilla heated up for 15seconds and I could actually roll them up into a burrito without falling apart!
I recently embarked on a mission to explore the gluten-free landscape at Walmart, and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised! For anyone following a gluten-free lifestyle, finding convenient and affordable options can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt. But after my latest trip, I'm thrilled to share that Walmart truly delivers with a fantastic array of products that make sticking to a GF diet so much easier and more enjoyable. One of my absolute highlights was discovering the Xtreme Wellness tortillas. Seriously, these are a game-changer! I used to struggle finding GF tortillas that wouldn't crack or crumble, but these heated up perfectly in 15 seconds and rolled into a burrito like a dream. No more falling apart salads masquerading as burritos! I also noticed BFree tortillas, which are another excellent option if you're looking for variety. Beyond tortillas, I also spotted some great bread options. The Schär Deli Style Sourdough Bread looked incredibly tempting for sandwiches, and for something quick and easy, the New York Bakery Texas Toast is a fantastic find for garlic bread lovers. And if you're looking for unique sandwich rolls, keep an eye out for B&D Dutch Crunch sandwich rolls – they add a lovely texture to any meal. For those moments when you need a sweet treat or a quick snack, Walmart's GF section didn't disappoint. I grabbed some Schär hazelnut wafers which are perfect for a little indulgence with coffee. And don't forget the Schär Twin Bars for a chocolatey pick-me-up. It's so nice to have pre-packaged, safe options readily available. My sweet tooth was definitely satisfied! If you love to bake, you'll be happy to know they carry baking mixes too. I saw Krusteaz chocolate cake mix, which is brilliant for whipping up a quick dessert without all the hassle of finding separate GF flours and ingredients. Having these on hand means you can still enjoy homemade goodies without all the extra effort. When you're navigating the aisles, my best advice is to check both the dedicated 'Natural & Organic' or 'Gluten-Free' sections, but also scan the regular aisles. Sometimes GF alternatives are stocked right alongside their conventional counterparts. Always double-check labels – 'gluten-free' certification is your best friend! And don't be afraid to try new brands; you might just find your new favorite staple. Overall, my Walmart gluten-free haul was a huge success. What started as a simple 'bread hunger' turned into a discovery of so many amazing options. It's truly inspiring to see how accessible and varied gluten-free products are becoming. So next time you're at Walmart, take an extra moment to explore their GF selection. You might just find your next favorite meal or snack! Happy gluten-free shopping, everyone!
