True surrenderance.
Have you ever found yourself saying I trust you God, but only with this aspect of my life. I’ll trust you with this, but not with this. Though we might not verbally express that to him, sometimes our actions portray that.
I’ll admit, it’s hard to completely give everything to him. Especially when we feel like we know exactly what we need to do to fix a certain problem or situation or maybe it’s fear of the unknown that is stopping you from completely surrendering to him. Whatever the case may be, I’m here today to remind you to give it to God.
For example,
If there is a problem with your car, you are either checking the manual (Jesus) or going to the dealership (God)
(You trust they know what they are doing and will give you the answers you need)
If you are having extremely bad service at a restaurant, you are either going to the manager (Jesus) or calling corporate (God)
(You trust that they will make it right or compensate you for the inconvenience you experienced)
so if there is a problem in your life, why aren’t you surrendering it to God? Why are you not going to Jesus or God. The one who created you? The one who thoughtfully designed you. The one who knows every intricate detail about your life? The one who sees what we cannot see. If you can trust a manual to tell you what you need, or trust that a manager will fix a situation and compensate you for your inconveniences- why can’t the one who designed you not do that same PLUS more?
True surrenderance is trusting God, despite what the situation looks like.
What is it that you are not surrendering to God?
Your finances? Your job? Your children? Your relationship? Your time? Your fertility?
God I pray for everyone reading this right now, I pray that you will show them whatever it is that they need to surrender to you. Please touch their heart and show them it’s ok to let go. Please show them that it’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok to not have it all together. Allow them to CLEARLY hear your voice so that they can completely surrender it all to you God. I pray peace over everyone reading this. Amen.

Let’s start by defining surrender.
Surrender: to give the control or use of (something) to someone else
It's easy to say 'I trust God,' but truly *giving it all to Him*? That's a different story. I've been on a journey to understand what complete surrender really means, and it's been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. For a long time, I thought I was surrendering, but I was still holding onto the steering wheel, trying to direct God's plan for my life. True spiritual surrender, I've learned, isn't about giving up hope or becoming passive; it's about actively choosing to release control and place my trust entirely in His divine wisdom. One of the biggest hurdles for me was the fear of the unknown. What if I give it to God and things don't turn out how I imagined? What if His plan is harder than mine? This is where the 'let go and let God' meaning truly clicked for me. It means releasing my grip on the outcome, knowing that His perspective is infinitely broader and His love for me is unwavering. It's about trusting that He sees what I cannot see, just like the article beautifully states. It's not about being irresponsible or inactive; it's about doing my part and then confidently placing the rest in His hands. So, what does this total surrender to God look like day-to-day? For me, it started with small steps. When I worried about my finances, instead of endlessly fretting, I'd pray, actively seek wise counsel, and then consciously release the burden to Him. When a relationship faced challenges, I'd bring it to God in prayer, asking for His guidance and strength, rather than trying to manipulate everything myself. It’s a continuous process of checking my heart and asking, 'Am I still trying to control this, or have I truly *given it all to Him*?' The Bible is full of encouragement for this kind of trust and surrender. Philippians 4:6-7 often reminds me: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' This verse perfectly illustrates the peace that comes with giving up control to God. Another powerful one is Proverbs 3:5-6: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.' These aren't just words; they are an invitation to experience a deeper peace. If you're struggling to fully surrender, I want to share a short prayer of surrender that has helped me. You can adapt it to your own situation: 'Heavenly Father, I come before You today, acknowledging that I cannot carry this burden alone. I choose to surrender my fears, my worries, my plans, and my future into Your loving hands. I trust Your wisdom, Your timing, and Your perfect will for my life. Help me to truly *let go and let You God*. Guide my steps, calm my anxious heart, and fill me with Your peace. I *give it all to You, Lord*. Amen.' Remember, spiritual submission is a journey, not a destination. There will be days when you feel like you're taking back control, and that's okay. Just gently bring yourself back to that place of trust and remind yourself to *give it to God*. The freedom and peace that come with it are truly immeasurable.
