Your faith is ENOUGH.
Our faith is worth far more than silver and gold. Money can bring temporary happiness but our faith can literally transform any situation in seconds.
Everyone knows or maybe at least heard of the Bible story of the lame man at the temple begging for alms at the gate. (Money, food, clothes). One day Peter and John crossed paths with him and Peter told the man “silver and gold I do not have but what I do have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” the scripture states, immediately the man was able to walk. (Acts:3)
This man had been begging for these things for years I’m sure, and while they may have taken care of temporary needs, they never brought true healing for him until he encountered Christ his life was transformed.
Sometimes we may be sitting in situations feeling helpless when God has already equipped us with what we need to pull us out. This story reminds me of the power of faith. This story shows me not only does our faith matter but the faith of others matter too. Who we encounter and surround ourselves with DO MATTER.
We could have people who are helping us remain crippled (the man had people carry him to the gate daily to beg) or people who help us permanently fix a situation. (John and Peter did not aid this man and just hand him the silver and gold but instead they gave him something that money could not buy- his authority in Jesus Christ)
I pray as you go throughout your day, you realize the importance of your authority in Christ. You realize the importance of who you surround yourself with.
Do you want to remain crippled or do you want true healing? The choice is yours.

I used to struggle with what 'faith' truly meant beyond just believing in God. For a long time, I thought it was simply about intellectual assent to spiritual truths. But reflecting on biblical stories, especially the one about the lame man at the temple gate, I discovered a much deeper, more active definition of faith. It’s not just about knowing God can do something; it’s about trusting He will and acting on that trust, even when logic tells you otherwise. When Peter told the man to rise, the man’s faith wasn't just in Peter's words, but in the power behind them – the name of Jesus Christ. That's a definition of faith the Bible unpacks: active reliance and expectation. There have been countless times in my own life when I've desperately cried out, “God, please make a way!” Sometimes, like that beautiful image of a cross standing strong against a misty mountain landscape, my path felt shrouded in fog, and I couldn't see past the next step. It's easy to feel helpless when facing overwhelming circumstances, but I’ve learned that God making a way doesn't always look like a dramatic lightning bolt from the sky. Often, it's a quiet whisper, an unexpected door opening, a sudden clarity, or simply the strength to take one more breath, one more step. I remember a period of intense financial worry, and I kept praying for a big break. Instead, God provided through small, consistent streams – a new freelance opportunity, an unexpected refund, a friend offering support. It taught me that His 'way' is often intricate, unfolding gracefully, much like 'graceunfolded' in our lives, revealing His provision in layers. And knowing that 'He knows the truth' of my situation brings immense comfort. When I’m in the thick of a challenge, all I can see is my limited perspective. But God sees the whole picture, past, present, and future. He knows the truth of my heart, my struggles, and His ultimate plan. This conviction helps me 'keep my faith in God' even when things seem bleak. It’s like tending to a garden; my faith can sometimes feel like a delicate flower, needing constant nourishment. I’ve found that actively nurturing my faith through daily devotion, prayer, and surrounding myself with people who uplift my spirit is crucial. Just as the original article mentioned, who we surround ourselves with truly matters. They can either help us remain 'crippled' by doubt or empower us to rise up in faith. In those moments when my faith feels tested, I consciously choose to return to the foundational truth: my faith, however small it might feel, is enough because God is faithful. It’s about leaning into His strength when mine is depleted, trusting His wisdom when I’m confused, and embracing His love when I feel alone. This journey isn't always easy, but the transformative power of a God who consistently makes a way and knows the truth is something I've come to rely on more and more. It's a continuous process of allowing His grace to unfold in my life, turning helplessness into hope and stagnation into true healing.
