poppi is killing it with the new flavors this year! 3 so far! i found this while i was getting my other poppi flavors at our local grocery store. this is definitely one of their sweeter flavors. iโve said in other poppi reviews im just not a big fan of really sweet stuff! itโs very good and tastes exactly like an orange creamsicle but again itโs just too sweet for me and i personally wouldnโt buy it again. (it is in my bottom 3) but if you like their sweeter drinks i recommend it! ๐#poppi#poppisoda#poppireview#orangecreamsicle#sodaalternative#drinkreview#prebioticsoda#healthylifestyle#unfiltered

... Read moreOkay, Poppi fans, you know the drill โ another day, another new flavor hitting the shelves! I was on my usual grocery run, stocking up on my go-to Poppi flavors, when *bam*, I spotted it: the new Orange Cream. And let me tell you, the Poppi Orange Cream soda can itself is super eye-catching. Itโs got that vibrant, summery orange hue blending into a soft cream color, instantly bringing to mind those classic orange creamsicle treats. It definitely stands out in the fridge, promising a nostalgic, sweet sip.
Of course, I had to grab one to try. My first impression, even before tasting, was just how well the design captures the essence of the flavor โ bright, playful, and undeniably sweet-looking. Once I popped it open, the aroma was pure orange creamsicle, no doubt about it. That creamy vanilla scent mixed with juicy orange notes is hard to resist.
Now for the taste test. The article's original review mentions it's โvery good and tastes exactly like an orange creamsicle,โ and I wholeheartedly agree with that part. It absolutely nails the flavor profile of an orange creamsicle. You get that initial burst of sweet, tangy orange, which then smoothly transitions into a creamy, vanilla-like finish. Itโs a beautifully executed flavor, truly.
However, and this is where my personal preference comes in, the sweetness level is quite high. The OCR results from the image noted โ5g of sugarโ and described it as โvery sweet,โ which is spot on for my experience. While a little sweetness is great, for me, this one pushed it a bit too far into dessert-drink territory. I tend to prefer Poppi's less sweet, more tart or subtly flavored options. So, while it perfectly replicated the orange creamsicle experience, that meant it was also perfectly *sweet*. I've found in my other Poppi reviews that I'm just not a huge fan of overly sweet beverages, and this one landed squarely in that category for me.
The image review also gave it a โ3/5โ rating, and I can see why. Itโs not bad by any means; in fact, itโs a well-made drink. But for someone like me who prioritizes a balance of flavor over intense sweetness, it just doesn't hit that repurchase button. It ended up in my 'bottom 3' Poppi flavors, not because it tastes bad, but because itโs just not my personal sweet spot.
But hereโs the thing: if you love sweet drinks, if youโre looking for a healthy soda alternative that genuinely tastes like a treat, and if you have fond memories of orange creamsicles, then this Poppi Orange Cream soda is absolutely for you. It's a fantastic option for satisfying a sweet craving without reaching for a traditional, sugar-laden soda. It still offers those prebiotic benefits for gut health, which is always a win. I can totally imagine someone who loves sweeter beverages enjoying this over ice on a hot day or as a little afternoon pick-me-up. It's truly a delight for those who appreciate a full-bodied, sweet flavor profile. So while it might not be my personal everyday go-to, I can definitely recommend it to the sweet-toothed Poppi lovers out there!
