SUPPLEMENTS I USE FOR FAT LOSS

First things first; NO you cannot rely on supplements to get you to your fitness goals…no matter what they promise or what kinds you use.

Supplements are a TOOL. Meaning, they will not work unless you KNOW how to use them properly and have the rest of your foundation in check.

Your “foundation” is your workout routine, nutrition, macros, sleep, hydration, recovery, and stress levels. If those are out of wack, don’t expect supplements to do the job for you!!

If you are already in a set routine and are looking for a little “nudge” in the right direction, supplements may be a great option for you to get in any lacking micronutrients, or ingredients that you can’t get in food.

I’ve just settled into my new supplement routine for my cut, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourite supplements and why for some inspiration!

1. Volume (on front page)

This one has no fat loss effects, but DOES give you the juiciest pumps of your life! It enhances blood flow, and exercise efficiency to make your muscles look plump! It’s a leg day staple forsure, especially during a cut when/if you start to feel “flat”

2. Primer/multivitamin

Having a solid multivitamin supplement in your regimen is crucial no matter what your goals are! A multivitamin will ensure you’re getting any vitamins you may need throughout the day in at least a small dose. It’s the oil to your engine!

3. Greens

Greens are amazing for not only micronutrients, but also antioxidants and inflammation throughout the body to help you feel less “puffy”. No you cannot replace real veggies for greens, but greens do have additional benefits with the added nutrients.

4. Fat burner

Honestly this one you don’t even ”need” for fat loss. It’s like a cherry on top. The one I use just increases L-carnitine, which is a naturally occurring amino acid in the body to aid with fat loss.

6. Anti-aromatase

These supplements lower the negative effects of estrogen in the body. I actually used this supplement a lot after stopping birth control to help regulate my cycle. This is also great for reducing water weight, and improving sleep and mood!

... Read moreOkay, let's talk about supplements, especially when you're deep into a cut and looking for that extra edge. While nothing replaces a solid foundation of diet, exercise, and sleep, sometimes you find a tool that just *clicks*. For me, that's been the Carne Diem Carnitine Burner from Magnum. When I first started my cutting phase, I knew I needed to optimize everything. My workouts were dialed in, my macros were on point, but I felt like I needed a little something extra to really push through plateaus. That's when I started looking into L-carnitine, and specifically, this product. The original article mentions it's 'like a cherry on top,' and I totally agree – it's not the whole sundae, but it definitely enhances the experience! So, what exactly is L-carnitine and why is it helpful for fat loss? Essentially, L-carnitine is an amino acid that plays a crucial role in transporting fatty acids into your cells' mitochondria. Think of the mitochondria as the 'powerhouses' of your cells, where these fatty acids are then burned for energy. By potentially increasing the amount of L-carnitine available, you're theoretically helping your body become more efficient at using fat for fuel, especially during exercise. This is why the Carne Diem Carnitine Burner focuses on this key ingredient. For me, incorporating Magnum Carne Diem into my routine has been pretty straightforward. I usually take it before my workouts. What I've noticed isn't a miraculous overnight transformation (again, no supplement does that!), but a subtle yet consistent boost. I feel like I have more sustained energy during my longer cardio sessions and even during my weight training. I also find I sweat a bit more, which might just be a mental thing, but it always makes me feel like I’m working harder and burning more. It truly feels like it's helping my body tap into those fat stores more effectively. It’s important to remember that for any supplement to work, your foundation has to be in place. I wouldn't expect Magnum Carne Diem to do anything if I wasn't in a caloric deficit, consistently exercising, and getting enough sleep. But when everything else is aligned, it offers that extra 'nudge' the original post talks about. It's a fantastic addition if you're feeling a bit 'flat' during a cut, as it helps with that energy production and keeps things moving. If you're considering adding an L-carnitine supplement to your regimen, especially something like the Carne Diem Carnitine Burner, I’d definitely suggest doing your research and seeing how it fits into your overall fitness plan. For me, it's been a valuable tool in my fat loss journey, helping me feel more optimized and energized.
