FDOE FOR FAT LOSS (136g P)
Another full day of eating for the books!!
Summer time is around the corner so I’ve been eating in a slight caloric deficit while still maintaining a high enough protein intake for me to maintain (if not gain) muscle mass!
As always, I won’t be sharing specific calories or macros because they are personal to me and my goals. This is all for inspirational purposes, as so many people believe you have to starve yourself to make progress…that’s just not the truth! With where my current macros are, I’ve been leaning out while still keeping my glutes which has always been a struggle for me!
The goals with my nutrition during shredding season are to maintain a MINIMUM of 1g of protein per lb of body weight (usually I go over, since it doesn’t hurt), and eat in a slight deficit of no more than 200-300 calories under maintenance to ensure FAT loss and not muscle loss by eating too little.
Hopefully this inspires some of you with wherever you are in your journey!

Hey everyone! So, you're curious about 'FDOE' and what it really means? I totally get it – when I first started my fitness journey, I saw this term everywhere and wondered too! FDOE simply stands for 'Full Day of Eating.' It’s essentially a snapshot, or a diary if you will, of everything someone consumes in a 24-hour period. It’s not just about listing meals; it’s a way to visually share and track food intake, often including portions, macros, and sometimes even calories, though like me, many prefer to keep those personal for inspiration only. Why do people share their FDOEs? For me, it's about transparency and inspiration. It helps others see that eating for specific goals, like fat loss or muscle gain, doesn't have to be boring or restrictive. It's real-life examples of how someone structures their meals to meet their nutritional targets. For instance, in my FDOE for fat loss, you see how I incorporate things like a banana nut oat muffin for breakfast, a hearty meal like salmon with rice and spinach for lunch, and a chicken salad for dinner, all while hitting that crucial 136g of protein. It shows how you can enjoy your food and still make progress. FDOEs are fantastic for learning. When I started creating my own, I learned so much about portion control and what truly makes up a balanced meal. It helped me understand how to strategically include snacks like a chocolate protein bar or a rice cake with spreads to keep my protein high and hunger at bay. It's about finding what works for you and your body, rather than blindly following a generic meal plan. You can see how I include supplements too, like my daily greens, to ensure I'm covering all my nutritional bases. If you're looking to create your own FDOE, especially for fat loss, my biggest tip is to focus on protein, just like I do! Aiming for around 1g per pound of body weight helps preserve muscle while you're in a slight caloric deficit. Don't be afraid to experiment with different food sources. You’ll find that even beverages like diet ginger ale can fit into a sensible plan. It’s all about consistency and making smart, enjoyable choices. Seeing others' FDOEs, like mine, really helped me visualize how to balance my plate and snacks throughout the day. It’s a powerful tool for staying accountable and discovering delicious ways to fuel your body towards your goals!
