TIPS TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY

When it comes to making progress in the gym, consistency and patience really is key to success.

All of these tips have gotten me to my end goal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it will get you to yours.

We all come from different backgrounds, cultures and routines. It’s important that you find a routine that works best for your current lifestyle without getting burnt out or setting unrealistic expectations.

If you can only go to the gym twice a week to start, that’s totally fine! Something is always better than nothing, and you will still make progress.

The worst thing you can do is give up because you feel like you aren’t making progress… It takes years to get results. Don’t be fooled by social media.

One key approach is to follow the 80/20 rule in nutrition—aim for 80% whole foods while allowing for 20% indulgence in processed foods. This balance prevents feelings of deprivation and encourages sustainable habits. Strength training is vital for muscle growth, specifically glute training if that is your goal. A regime of 5 strength training sessions a week, combined with 20 minutes of steady-state cardio daily, can effectively enhance your body composition. Consistency is essential; even if you can only hit the gym twice a week initially, the regular effort will yield gradual improvements. Remember, progress is not always linear, and societal pressures from social media can skew perceptions of progress—focus on your personal journey instead. Additionally, consider incorporating variety in your workouts to prevent boredom and promote different muscle engagement. Recovery is just as important—be sure to allow your body time to rest and recover to prevent burnout. Building a supportive community can also enhance motivation, whether it’s through fitness classes, social media, or groups that share your fitness interests. By setting realistic goals and celebrating small victories, you can maintain motivation and enjoy the process of transformation.
