How to stay LOCKED IN
Notice how every slide talks about preparing in ADVANCE?! You can’t expect to stay consistent if you wake up each day without a schedule in place. If you want to stay locked in and actually see progress, it all comes down to planning ahead. Here’s how I make consistency feel easy:
Schedule your weekend & plan your day the night before – If you wait until the morning to figure out your day, you’re already behind. Take five minutes the night before to plan your schedule, including workouts if needed, so you wake up knowing exactly what to do.
Lay out your workout outfit the night before – This might sound small, but it removes an extra decision and makes it way easier to just get up and go. Plus, when your outfit is cute, you’re more likely to actually hit the gym.
Meal prep for the week – When your meals are ready, you’re way less likely to skip meals or grab random snacks that don’t align with your goals. Set yourself up for success so you don’t have to rely on willpower.
Consistency isn’t about motivation…it’s about removing obstacles before they even come up. Plan ahead, make it easy, and watch how much better you feel.
Staying locked in on your fitness goals requires more than just motivation; it demands strategic planning and preparation. Consider incorporating these effective strategies into your routine: 1. **Daily and Weekly Scheduling**: Begin by scheduling your entire week, including workouts and meals. Allocating specific times for exercise ensures that it's a non-negotiable part of your day, helping weave it naturally into your lifestyle. 2. **Outfit Ready**: Preparing your workout outfit the night before reduces friction in the morning. An added benefit? A stylish outfit can boost your motivation, making it more likely for you to stick to your workout plans. 3. **Meal Prep**: Planning and prepping meals not only helps you stick to your dietary goals but also saves time and reduces stress during the week. When healthy meals are easily accessible, you're less likely to veer off track and opt for unhealthy snacks or fast food. 4. **Eliminating Obstacles**: Consistency thrives when you proactively eliminate potential barriers. By creating a conducive environment and developing a solid routine, you're setting yourself up for sustained success. 5. **Regular Reflection**: Finally, take time each week to reflect on your progress, adjust your strategies as necessary, and celebrate your successes, no matter how small they may be. This keeps you motivated and reinforces your commitment to your goals. By implementing these strategies, you can foster an environment that supports your fitness journey, ensuring that staying consistent becomes second nature.
