How to “calorie bank” to lose weight

Before I get into calorie banking, I want to preface that regardless of how much you’re eating, the quality of food you eat still matters.

I am all for having a fun meal or snacks every now and then, but we should not be ONLY eating that stuff just because we have more calories to consume.

However, calorie banking is a great way to incorporate more guilt-free balance into your life especially if you’re someone who enjoys going out on the weekends! This has been a game changer for me in my fat loss phases!!

Let me know if you have any questions about it!

The fundamental concept revolves around saving calories on certain days of the week to indulge on others. For example, if your daily calorie goal is 1900, you might choose to eat between 1500-1700 calories on weekdays and then have additional calories available on weekends for social events or special meals. This method not only helps in managing calorie intake but also allows for enjoyable eating experiences without guilt. By planning ahead, individuals can effectively utilize calorie banking to prevent feelings of deprivation associated with traditional dieting. Combining this strategy with high-quality food choices ensures that while you enjoy more caloric freedom, you are still nourishing your body properly. Focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods even in a 'banking' scenario promotes better health and long-term weight maintenance. Additionally, it’s crucial to listen to your body’s cues and adjust your calorie intake based on your activity levels. Maintaining some flexibility while tracking your consumption can lead to sustainable practices over time. Explore this versatile eating pattern and make adjustments that align with your lifestyle and dietary preferences for optimal results.
