Olaf
Hey everyone! 👋 I've been maining Olaf in Wild Rift recently, and after a ton of experimenting, I've finally landed on a build that feels incredibly strong and consistent for solo queue. If you're looking to stomp your opponents, carry your team, and generally just have a blast rampaging through the jungle, this guide is for you! Olaf's Core Strengths: Olaf is a berserker who thrives on low health, shrugging off crowd control (CC) with his ultimate, Ragnarok. He excels at dueling, pushing objectives, and diving enemy backlines. My goal with this build is to amplify his early game dominance while ensuring he stays relevant and tanky enough to survive team fights into the late game. Recommended Item Build: Warrior Enchant (Jungle Item): This is your bread and butter jungle item. It provides AD, ability haste, and sustain, allowing you to clear efficiently and duel early. Upgrade your starting jungle item (Stalker's Blade or Skirmisher's Sabre) into this. Black Cleaver: A crucial item for Olaf. It gives you health, attack damage, ability haste, and most importantly, armor shred. This helps you melt through tanks and makes your true damage E even more potent. Sterak's Gage: Provides a massive shield when you drop to low health, significantly increasing your survivability in extended fights. The bonus AD also scales well with Olaf's kit. Death's Dance: Offers a mix of AD, ability haste, and a unique passive that stores a portion of incoming damage and converts it into a bleed. This allows you to survive burst and sustain through fights, especially when combined with Olaf's W. Situational Defensive Item (Spirit Visage / Randuin's Omen): Assess the enemy team's primary damage source. If they have heavy AP, go for Spirit Visage for magic resist and increased healing. If they have multiple AD threats or critical strike champions, Randuin's Omen is your best bet for armor and an attack speed slow. Boots Enchant: Start with Gluttonous Greaves for the early lifesteal. Depending on the enemy team composition, enchant them with either Stasis Enchant (for invulnerability against burst) or Quicksilver Enchant (to cleanse pesky CC like stuns or roots when your ultimate is on cooldown). Runes for Maximum Impact: Keystone: Conqueror: This is non-negotiable for Olaf. Stacks AD and lifesteal over time in combat, making you incredibly strong in prolonged duels and team fights. Domination: Brutal: Gives you flat AD and armor penetration, boosting your early game damage and jungle clear speed. Resolve: Hunter - Titan: Grants bonus health and tenacity with takedowns, making you harder to kill and less susceptible to CC. Inspiration: Sweet Tooth: Increases the healing from Honeyfruits and provides bonus gold when consuming them. This helps with jungle sustain and gold generation, especially in the early game. Summoner Spells: Smite: Essential for jungle control, securing objectives, and clearing camps. Flash: For engaging, escaping, or repositioning. A classic. Ability Maxing Order: Start with Q, then max Q first for clear speed and poke. Followed by E for true damage, and then W for sustain. So: Q > E > W (taking R whenever available). Early Game Jungle Pathing & Strategy: I usually start Red Buff, then Krugs, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff, and Gromp. Look for a gank opportunity after clearing your first full side (e.g., after Red/Krugs/Raptors if bot lane is pushed) or after blue buff. Olaf's early game ganks are terrifying due to his Q slow and high damage. Focus on securing scuttle crabs and invading the enemy jungle if you know their jungler is on the opposite side. With this aggressive build, I've often hit damage numbers exceeding 26.303 in critical early skirmishes! Mid to Late Game Tips: As Olaf, you're a frontline bruiser. Your job is to dive the enemy backline, ignore their CC with Ragnarok, and take out their squishy carries. Don't be afraid to be the primary initiator in team fights. You're also excellent at taking objectives like Dragon and Baron due to your high sustained damage. Just make sure your team follows up! Always look for opportunities to split push or take towers if the enemy team is grouped elsewhere. Your ability to shred objectives is underrated. Try out this build and let me know how it goes for you in the comments! It's been a game-changer for my Wild Rift climb.
