A little Saturday DITL ✨

Our day started with a mission—tracking down a Monopoly game. After searching everywhere, we finally found one three cities over, so we made the trip. The kids got Wendy’s for lunch while me and George treated ourselves to the biggest salads ever from Ruby Tuesday. 🥗

Back home, we did a few quick chores before starting what turned into an hours-long Monopoly marathon. We paused for dinner—me and George had leftovers (salad + wings), while the kids got a choice between Hamburger Helper and spaghetti from my dad’s house. Naturally, they sampled a little of both. 😂

After dinner, George and I watched an episode of Peacemaker (just us—definitely not kid-friendly 😅), and then we all regrouped to finish our game. Hours later, George claimed his victory 🏆.

It wasn’t anything fancy—just a day of food, family, and board games—but those are the kind of days that feel the most special. 💕 Sometimes the best memories really are the simple ones.

Games like Monopoly not only entertain but also encourage strategic thinking and friendly competition among family members. It’s great to see that your quest to find Monopoly took you three cities over, showing how much value you place on this shared activity. Meal choices during family time also contribute to overall enjoyment. Having quick and tasty options such as Wendy’s for the kids and large salads from Ruby Tuesday for adults brings variety and ensures everyone feels satisfied. Plus, making use of leftovers like wings and salad maximizes resources and makes dinner time easier. These elements combined—a sought-after board game, favorite meals, and spending time together—make simple Saturdays uniquely memorable. Also, unwinding with an episode of a show like Peacemaker after a fun-filled day helps parents recharge. Balancing kid-friendly activities and adult downtime is essential in family dynamics.
