Super cute floral dress 🫶
I got this from Gabe’s!
Blessed.
So I’ve had the flu for a week. Even tho I’ve been sick since March. So I’m back to being sick sick instead of my normal level of sick haha lord. I’m worried this will trigger a flare up so I’m gonna be exhausted the rest of the summer.
I have the worst immune system 😂 I do see my Dr this month….so I’ll get updated blood tests. I’m not looking forward to telling her I’m having the same exact issues as last time….which means I’ll have to get more tests done other than blood.
It's amazing how a simple outfit can sometimes lift your spirits, even when you're not feeling 100%. I've been going through it lately – feeling under the weather with the flu, and honestly, it’s felt like an endless cycle since March. My immune system just seems to be fighting a constant battle, and it's so frustrating when you feel like you're always sick. I'm heading to the doctor soon for more blood tests, bracing myself for the usual routine of explaining the same recurring issues. It's tough, and there's always that worry about a flare-up that could drain my energy for the entire summer. But even on days when I'm feeling my absolute worst, I try to find little ways to boost my mood. Sometimes, it's something as simple as putting on a pretty dress. Like this white dress with a pink floral pattern that I found at Gabe's! It has the most adorable puffy sleeves and a chic square neckline, which makes it feel a bit special. Taking a quick mirror selfie in it, even if it's just for myself, can make a surprising difference. It's a reminder that even when my body isn't cooperating, I can still find a moment of joy and feel a little bit put-together. For anyone out there dealing with chronic illness or just a persistent bug, you know the struggle of wanting to feel normal but your body just won't let you. Finding comfortable yet stylish clothes becomes essential. This dress, for example, is light and breezy, which is perfect when you're feeling feverish or just generally unwell. It doesn't cling too much, and the soft fabric is a dream. I also find that choosing bright colors or pretty patterns, like these pink floral decorations, can really impact your mood. It's like wearing a little bit of sunshine, even if it's gray skies inside. Beyond fashion, I've learned to lean into other self-care strategies during these tough times. Hydration is key – I try to keep water or herbal tea nearby at all times. Gentle movement, if I can manage it, like a short walk, can sometimes help, but mostly it's about listening to my body and resting when needed. Eating nourishing foods, even if my appetite is low, is also a priority. And honestly, just allowing myself to feel the frustration and then trying to refocus on small positive things, like admiring a new dress or simply enjoying a quiet moment, is crucial for mental well-being. It's a journey, dealing with health issues, and there are good days and bad days. The expectation of new tests, possibly beyond just blood work, is daunting, but I know it's necessary for understanding what's going on. In the meantime, I'll keep finding joy in these small moments – whether it's a cute new outfit or just a moment of peace. If you're also struggling, remember you're not alone. Finding those little sparks of happiness, like a pretty white dress, can truly make a difference in navigating the challenges of chronic illness or just getting through a nasty flu season. Keep going, and allow yourself those moments of comfort and beauty.
