🗡What I'm Currently Reading🔥

🗡Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

I've really been enjoying this series.

I just finished 'The Assassin's Blade' and tbh I wouldn't change the order I read it in.

When it comes to books with prequels I always read in publishing order, i'm glad I didn't change it up for this series.

On another note: Do you read the synopsis on books in a series you're reading?

I don't and prefer to go in completely blind. When I add a synopsis to a book post I purposely dont read it. When I'm buying a book I haven't heard of before or am at the library i will read the synopsis but to be honest i forget most of what they said by the time i read them and i perfer it that way.

I'm also the type of person who will try to completely avoid looking at any discussions about a book until I've read it.

... Read moreI'm absolutely loving my journey through the Throne of Glass series, and diving into Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas has been an incredible experience so far! As I mentioned, I prefer to go into books completely blind, especially within a series. It adds so much to the discovery, right? However, I know a lot of you out there love to get a sneak peek, so I wanted to share a little about what the Heir of Fire synopsis hints at, for those who are curious. The back cover often provides just enough to pique your interest without revealing too much, and the synopsis for Heir of Fire definitely sets the stage for a powerful transformation. It generally speaks to Celaena's journey as she grapples with her past and prepares for an even more challenging future. You can expect themes of intense training, confronting inner demons, and the ever-present threat looming over Erilea. It promises a deep dive into character development and high-stakes fantasy, which is exactly why I'm so hooked on this series! Speaking of the world-building, one of the aspects I constantly find myself marveling at in S.J. Maas's novels are the fantastic creatures and beings. While I won't spoil any specifics from *Heir of Fire*, throughout the series, you encounter a rich tapestry of magical races, from powerful Fae to ancient beings and terrifying monsters. Each creature adds such a unique layer to the narrative and the magic system. It's fascinating to see how they interact with the human realm and influence the destiny of the characters. These creatures aren't just background elements; they're integral to the plot and the world's lore, making the reading experience incredibly immersive. It’s part of what makes the world feel so alive and dynamic! And for those who appreciate the aesthetics, the various covers for *Heir of Fire*, including the UK version, are always so stunning and evocative. They often capture the essence of the book's themes perfectly, with strong imagery that hints at the fantasy elements and Celaena's warrior spirit. Even when I'm not reading the synopsis, a beautiful cover can definitely draw me in! Ultimately, whether you're a synopsis-reader or a blind-diver like me, this series continues to deliver. The depth of the plot, the development of the characters, and the intricate world-building make it a truly captivating read. If you're looking for an epic fantasy adventure, you absolutely have to pick up *Heir of Fire*!

I’m the same way! I’m about to start the second ACOTAR book, and I went into the first one completely blind. I think they sometimes give WAY too much away in the synopsis.
