Our Perfect Valentine's Day❤️

We had the best Valentine's day at home and I wouldn't change anything about it❤️

I love digital scrapbooking and journaling especially on lemon8 so this is one of those posts. My fiancé works Saturdays which I really don't mind because even if we can't be together he sure knows how to make me feel special. That's not just on holidays either. With his most of the time 6 days a week 10+ hour shifts he is amazing with being intentional with the time he is at home.

I started the morning being greeted with flowers, a bear, chocolate strawberries he made the night before and wrapped gifts in the cutest paper.

I packed his lunch with heart shaped chicken quesadillas, cookies I surprised him with the day before, chocolate strawberries, and his usual snacks. He made us our morning latte with a cute little heart and sprinkles. We had a great morning together and he headed off to work!

The gifts he gave me were a book I pick up every time we go to the store but never buy, a mouse and keyboard for blogging on the go that perfectly matches how I theme my iPad. And a sharper for my fabric scissors with replacement crochet hooks that includes the size I lost. So sweet intentional and shows how well he truly does listen.

His day was light so he got home a little early and we cooked dinner together. complete with blasting music, laughing, drinking, dancing, and talking. We did steak, baked potatos and green beans and it was bomb. I even got a very tipsy this food is so good happy dance😂😂

We ended the night laughing drinking some more and playing video games and going to bed way earlier then we would have even a year ago. It's crazy how sleepy a cozy life makes you.

Overall this was definitely one of our best Valentine's days and I wouldn't change a single thing about it. It is now the day after so we have all Sunday together and that is always my favorite day of the week❤️

This post is truly just like everything else I love to post, journaling, blogging, and sharing my favorite parts of my life and myself. I hope you all had a good Valentine's day💘

... Read moreValentine’s Day doesn’t always have to be about extravagant outings or fancy dinners. Based on my personal experience, a perfect Valentine’s Day can be created right at home through simple, intentional actions that deeply connect you with your partner. For example, receiving flowers, a stuffed bear, and homemade chocolate-covered strawberries first thing in the morning instantly conveys love and care. The attention to small details like wrapping gifts in cute paper or preparing a special latte with heart sprinkles shows how meaningful gestures make the day extra special. One highlight I found particularly touching was packing a lunch with heart-shaped chicken quesadillas and personalized cookies as a surprise. These thoughtful touches remind us that taking the time to tailor the day to our partner's tastes and preferences makes the celebration truly personal. Gift-giving also became highly meaningful when my partner chose items like a book I’d admired for a long time, and practical blogging tools like a matching mouse and keyboard for my iPad setup. It demonstrated deep listening and understanding, showing that love is not just expressed in grand gestures but also in attentiveness to everyday needs and hobbies. Cooking dinner together while playing music, laughing, and dancing adds a playful and fun dimension to the day. Preparing comfort foods such as steak, baked potatoes, and seasoned green beans created an inviting atmosphere where we could unwind and savor simple pleasures. Ending the evening by playing video games and cozying up early after a fulfilling day felt incredibly intimate and peaceful. This balance of activity and relaxation is key to creating lasting memories. From my experience, prioritizing quality time over material extravagance fosters stronger bonds. Even when one partner works long, exhausting shifts, the commitment to being present and making the most of shared moments speaks volumes. This kind of intentional living and heartfelt journaling about these experiences not only creates cherished memories but also inspires others seeking meaningful ways to celebrate love. If you’re looking to make your next Valentine’s Day unforgettable, consider how genuine, small gestures combined with quality moments at home can create the perfect celebration.
