Hot Girls Use Their Local Library!📚🤭

We took a little trip to my favorite place today! The little one close to me is closed today, so i went into town to the library i spent all my time at before we moved. Thankfully, all the ones in my county share a database and use the same card. Originally, I went to pick up a book on crochet that I saw they had on the online database. Im about to finish my long-term project of a crochet curtain, so im looking for something new. As per usual, I had to see what else I could check out. I always go straight to the New Arrivals section. I didn't see anything calling my name today. The book list binder has recommendations based on things like genre, so I looked there to help point me in the right direction. I'm such a mood reader it's hard to know what to pick up sometimes.

I decided it's finally time to read The Picture of Dorian Gray. Then I went just searching through the non-fiction with no direction. I found The Waters by Bonnie Jo Campbell. It seems like exactly the type of book I was in the mood for, but I didn't know that genre had a name, "rual noir." On the same shelf was The Bird Cage by Eve Chase, which seemed equally as interesting, so I decided to pick that up as well. My full haul was:

If you've followed me for a while, you will know how much I love and advocate for using your local library. Not just checking out books but for things like used book sales, community events, movies, dvd's, using computers or other technology they have available, and other resources so many of them provide. Even digital resources like Libby. Today, I saw people doing a puzzle the library set up, a seed library, and kids playing in the program set up for them. I do believe hot girls use their local library. Do you? When was the last time you went??

... Read moreVisiting my local library has always been one of those simple pleasures that feels both productive and comforting. Like many people, I often think of libraries as a place just for borrowing books, but over time I've discovered they offer so much more enriching value. For instance, I recently checked out some craft books, including The Filet Crochet Book by Chris Rankin, which inspired me to try elegant crochet designs that complement my ongoing home projects. It's fascinating to find that libraries keep pace with readers' interests by organizing genres and recommending books, which helps me navigate my own mood reading habits—sometimes it's hard to pick a book when so many options call for attention. I also stumbled upon an intriguing genre called "rural noir" with books like The Waters by Bonnie Jo Campbell, which opened my eyes to new narratives rooted in rural settings reflecting raw human emotions and struggles. Alongside fiction gems like The Bird Cage by Eve Chase and classics such as Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, there’s a diverse array for every literary palate. Beyond books, I love how community libraries often set up fun activities — I’ve seen puzzle tables set up during visits, seed libraries promoting sustainable gardening, and programs that engage younger readers. These offerings remind me that libraries are truly community hubs. They also provide handy resources like computers and digital content through apps like Libby, making it easy to access eBooks and audiobooks anytime. For anyone who hasn’t visited their local library recently, I highly recommend making a trip. It’s a great way to support this invaluable community resource while discovering unexpected delights. Whether you're seeking long-term project inspiration, new novels that suit your current mood, or simply a relaxing environment to spend an afternoon, your library can be a wonderful place to explore. Hot girls—or anyone really—can definitely find their vibe there!
