Fallen Gundam Head Terrarium

... Read moreIf you're intrigued by the idea of a Gundam-inspired terrarium, here's a bit more insight from my experience creating one. Starting with a careful paint sealing step is key to preserving the weathered look of the Gundam head while protecting it inside moist conditions. I found that gently chipping the edges added realistic wear, mimicking the display at the Bandai Museum. When it comes to assembling the terrarium base, using small rocks and china pond pebbles creates a naturalistic environment that enhances the mechanical aesthetic of the model. Planting moss and tiny greenery on and around the Gundam piece brings a fresh, living contrast that highlights the fusion of technology and nature. For those curious about workshops, locations often vary, but many community events focus on terrariums combining anime themes and aquascaping. Tickets and dates for these can be found through Gundam and gardening communities online, which also share tips on materials like moss and plant choices that thrive in closed environments. I recommend experimenting with a wabi kusa bowl style setup if you want something easy to maintain and visually stunning. It’s a fun way to dive deeper into moss-based terrariums, especially with a Gundam twist. Whether you’re a die-hard Gundam lover or just looking for a unique decorative plant project, this fallen Gundam head terrarium is a rewarding craft that beautifully blends pop culture with nature’s charm.

Genting without theme park 🍃
I was reluctant to visit Genting in fear of the crowded theme park to entertain the kids. In the end we didn’t even have to leave the property.. You can literally spend the whole day (even days) to explore the facilities. The Premium Suite (Tower A) we booked is spacious enough for 3 families
