recent books I've read
I've been getting back into reading I have read 11 (almost 12 books) so far this year! these are the last 4 I've read! I just finished the lord of the rings books, because my boyfriend loves them. I really enjoyed them especially the hobbit! I also just finished the sworn soldier series by t. kingfisher, which I very much enjoyed. I even think the series is my new favorite! I'm very inot fantasy and horror, along with classics, so if you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments!
Diving into books like The Lord of the Rings series and T. Kingfisher’s Sworn Soldier has truly rekindled my passion for reading. What struck me most about Tolkien’s work was the rich world-building and the deep connection to themes of friendship, courage, and hope amid darkness. The Return of the King and The Two Towers particularly stood out for their epic battles and emotional depth, making the journey with Frodo, Sam, and their companions unforgettable. On the other hand, the Sworn Soldier series offered a fresh and darker twist on fantasy, blending horror elements that kept me hooked. I appreciated how T. Kingfisher crafts complex characters and a gripping storyline that balances suspense with emotional nuances. This series quickly became one of my favorites because it combines fantasy’s thrilling escapism with raw, intense moments that challenge the characters and readers alike. Besides these, I’ve recently also been fascinated by Margaret Atwood’s "The Handmaid’s Tale," which presents a chilling dystopian reality that prompts reflection on society and human rights. The story’s powerful narrative and haunting atmosphere linger with you long after reading. For fellow readers interested in fantasy, horror, and classics, I highly recommend giving these titles a try. Each offers a unique journey—whether through enchanted realms, suspenseful mysteries, or dystopian futures. I’d love to hear your book recommendations as well, especially if they combine elements of fantasy and horror or delve into thought-provoking classic literature. Sharing our reads not only expands our horizons but also connects us through our love for stories that inspire, challenge, and transport us to new worlds.
