Non-vegans: “VeGaNs ArE TrYiNg To RuN ThE WoRlD 🥴”
Also non-vegans: running animal bodies like factories and calling it food.
Let’s be clear —
Vegans aren’t trying to rule animals. We’re trying to leave them alone.
That’s guardianship, not control.
Protection, not ownership.
Domination is breeding, confining, cutting, selling, and killing for convenience.
If that’s not power abuse, what is?
One path respects autonomy.
The other cashes in on it.
Live vegan.
Choose guardianship over domination.
In my personal journey towards adopting a vegan lifestyle, the distinction between guardianship and domination has become profoundly clear. Many people misunderstand veganism as an attempt to control or 'run the world' with strict rules, but it's actually about respecting animals' autonomy and choosing not to profit from their suffering. For instance, instead of viewing animals as products to be bred in confined spaces or factory-like conditions, veganism advocates for seeing them as sentient beings deserving of care and protection. This concept aligns with the idea of practicing 'dominion' not as domination but as responsible guardianship, where we protect life rather than exploit it. Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle made me more aware of how industrial animal farming treats living creatures mainly as commodities—breeding, confining, and killing them solely for human convenience. This is an example of power abuse, where domination replaces empathy. By choosing veganism, I embrace a path of compassion, valuing lives instead of cashing in on them. Additionally, adopting cruelty-free products and supporting ethical food choices extends this philosophy beyond diet, influencing lifestyle decisions. I found that this shift not only benefits animals but enhances my own well-being and connects me more meaningfully with the environment. Overall, veganism challenges us to rethink our relationship with other living beings and to commit to protection over ownership. If more people embraced this guardianship mindset, it could lead to profound positive changes in society and the planet.
