Have you lost a child? I need ppl who understand

Have you lost a child? Sometimes I need to talk to someone who really understands. My boyfriend is wonderful but he doesn’t really get it since he hasn’t ever lost a child.

This is my son Kameron. He died December 28, 2015 of a heroin overdose at the age of 20.

Kameron loved:

-Everything LSU!

-Baseball

-Football

-To dance (the jerk & teach me how to dougie)

-Kevin Gates 🎶

-Diamond Supply Clothing Co. 💎

... Read moreLosing a child is an unimaginable pain that often leaves parents feeling isolated and misunderstood. In the wake of such a loss, connecting with others who have faced similar challenges can provide crucial support and comfort. Many parents find solace in grief support groups or online communities where they can share their experiences and emotions without judgment. It’s essential to give yourself permission to grieve at your own pace. Memorializing your child's life is another powerful way to cope with your loss. Whether through writing, art, or creating a memory box, these acts can help commemorate their spirit and keep their memory alive. Additionally, consider reaching out to professionals who specialize in grief counseling; they can offer structured support tailored to navigating the complexities of grief. Stay connected with loved ones, even if they can't fully understand your pain, as their presence can provide comfort. Lastly, do not hesitate to share your story, as it not only helps you heal but also encourages others to talk about their experiences, fostering a community of understanding and empathy.
