Wow! This challenge just opened my eyes!

Omg! As I am creating this post it dawn on me. As I grew up the books I read got riskier and more rebellious lead characters. I’m going to be vulnerable here and tell you the truth. That’s exactly how my life went too. My book choice got edgier and edgier. You will notice in the last slide one of the books that made me was The Big Book of Alcoholic Anonymous, it actually saved me! Thanks for having this challenge Lemon8! I learned something about myself 😍

... Read moreBooks have a profound ability to shape our perspectives and lives. Throughout different stages of life, we often gravitate towards literature that resonates deeply with our experiences. In this article, I explore how my reading journey evolved, moving from innocent childhood tales to thought-provoking narratives that provoke introspection. The books we choose can serve as both mirrors and guides, showing us who we are and who we aspire to become. One standout title in my journey is 'The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous,' which provided critical insights and support during my personal struggles. As I reflect on the influences of these works, I encourage readers to participate in the #BooksthatMademe challenge on Lemon8, sharing their transformative reading experiences. Engaging with literature not only enhances our understanding of the world but also enables us to connect with others who share similar journeys. The Lemon8 platform is an incredible place to foster discussions about the power of books, the importance of vulnerability, and the lessons we learn through our reading choices. Let’s celebrate the stories that have left a mark on us and inspire others to discover their own life-changing reads.

Thank you and yessss! I feel like I experienced some things for the first time in a book. For example. I was shook with devastation, my heart hurt and taken by such surprise in A Bridge to Terabithia.
