🏮The Porch Light That Wouldn’t Stay Off 💡
Last October, a week before Halloween, my porch light started acting strange. It kept flickering on every night around 2:13 a.m., exactly 2:13 even though I’d replaced the bulb and unplugged the motion sensor. 🎃
At first, I thought it was the wiring. Then I thought maybe my neighbors were messing with me. But one night, I got curious (and stupid) enough to watch from the window. 💀
Sure enough, 2:13 a.m…….click. The light came on. But this time, the motion sensor picked something up. 👻
I saw the faint outline of a person.
Not moving.
Just standing at the edge of my porch long enough for the light to buzz, fade, and then pop off again.🏮
When I opened the door, no one was there. But on the porch rail was a small smudge, a handprint in dust, exactly where my son used to lean when he’d come home late. 🧍🏻♂️
He passed away ten years ago. 💎
The porch light hasn’t turned on since. 🏮

My story about the porch light that wouldn't stay off really resonated with a lot of you, and it got me thinking deeply about that classic phrase, 'I'll leave the porch light on.' For me, it took on a whole new, chilling meaning when I wondered if my son was trying to reach out. But beyond the spooky, that phrase holds so much emotion for so many of us, doesn't it? When we say 'I'll leave the porch light on,' it's often about hope, about waiting for someone we love to come home, or a continuous welcome. But for those of us who've lost someone, especially a child, it transforms into something else entirely – a beacon of remembrance, a silent prayer for connection. It’s part of our own ongoing STORY TIME, where we hold onto those we miss and hope for a sign. Have you ever had one of those moments that feels TOO WEIRD TO EXPLAIN, but you just know SOMETHING'S OFF – in a comforting way? Like a sudden scent of their favorite cologne, a particular song playing at just the right moment, or a feather appearing out of nowhere? Many people believe these are signs from loved ones. It’s incredibly comforting to think they’re still with us, even if in ways we can’t fully grasp. I've heard so many amazing stories, from objects moving to flickering lights (like mine!), to dreams that feel more real than waking life. It's not always about scientific proof; it's about the feeling in your heart, that quiet reassurance that their presence lingers. Grief is such a personal journey, and finding solace in these 'signs' can be incredibly healing. Whether it's a spiritual connection or simply the mind finding comfort in coincidence, these moments remind us that love transcends physical presence. It helps us keep their memory alive, not just as a painful loss, but as an enduring and comforting presence in our lives. We create our own rituals, our own ways of remembering, and sometimes, those rituals are met with an unexpected response from beyond. Thinking about the porch light, it’s such a powerful symbol. It's a guiding light, a sign of home, a welcome. In my case, it became a symbol of a connection that felt truly otherworldly. Every time I see a porch light now, it brings a mix of emotions – a little chill, but also a deep sense of peace, knowing that love truly never fades. It reminds me that even when someone is gone, their light can still shine on in unexpected ways. So next time you see a porch light, or experience something that makes you pause and wonder, perhaps it's more than just a coincidence. Perhaps it's a silent message, a loving nudge from someone who's always with you in spirit. What are your stories? I'd love to hear them!

now the only question is, is this real or is this reddit story lol I see so many stories like this and I'm like ring my🥰
