This bustling market street, once a silk exchange, is now a labyrinth of stalls brimming with colorful clothing and souvenirs. It's officially known as the 'Mercado de Artesania', and it truly lives up to its name, offering a fantastic array of handcrafted goods. Walking through the narrow alleys, I was surrounded by a symphony of sights, sounds, and smells. Each stall presented unique Granada souvenirs, from delicate ceramics painted with traditional Moorish designs to beautiful leather goods and vibrant textiles. I was on the hunt for authentic artesanía Granada, and I certainly wasn't disappointed! I found some stunning hand-painted tiles that perfectly captured the essence of my trip, and a beautiful scarf made with local patterns. Even without getting a palace ticket, my visit to the Alhambra, especially its magnificent gardens with the flowing water channels and lush greenery, combined with the sensory delight of the Alcaiceria market, made my Granada travel adventure unforgettable.
