Custard apple vegan custard/icing
🍋 I used canned chickpeas for another recipe and wanted to make something with the aguafaba so I made this custard! I had this fruit I never tried before from too good to go called a custard apple aka chirimoya. It has a creamy flavor so I put the pulp in a bowl and removed the black seeds.
💖 I added it to the blender with the aguafaba, 1 tbs of arrowroot powder, 1 cup of sugar and the juice of half a lemon. Maybe it would be thicker without the fruit juice but it tasted great and had a good consistency for drizzling over dessert!
⭐️Overall rating: 4/5: I love the custard apple flavor but probably would omit the lemon juice next time.
