Dust, moisture, or sweat can make the court slippery. Many players overlook this, but these factors play a big role. Using a court wipe or a sports floor cleaner, if available, can improve grip instantly. In addition to equipment and court prep, maintaining clean shoes is vital. I usually clean the soles with a damp cloth between games to remove any debris that could cause slides. Also, avoid wearing your shoes outside before playing indoors; outdoor dirt on soles dramatically reduces traction. Lastly, complement your gear with grip-enhancing products or accessories. Some athletes use special sprays or powders to improve foot stability inside the shoe. However, ensure these products are approved by your sports club or league. By addressing these factors—shoes, court condition, and shoe maintenance—you can greatly reduce slipping incidents.
