More tips to achieve no spend 2025

Besides making a budget it’s helpful to see what you’re realistically going to be spending your money on a monthly basis.

These are some of my realistic spending habits that I will only be spending my money on throughout the year

1. Bills most of us have them lol these aren’t going away but you can try and manage certain ones like water and electricity by trying to to use less of it if possible or check for any programs that you can get help for.

2. Groceries: look for sales on apps, mail, online. Go in with a list of the things you need or what recipes you will be creating and make sure you’re not overbuying and then it causes the food to spoil. Stick to your list!

3. Gas: try and limit any unnecessary trips, search for the shortest routes, download apps that give gas comparisons to get the best for your $

4. Savings: set a certain amount you want to set aside for emergencies, retirements, home etc.

5. Birthday gifts: I love buying gifts for those I love especially on their day and looking for the best deals online, in store will ensure you get it at the best price. Also don’t wait last minute.

Trips: I do want to travel and still enjoy life. I want to look for affordable yet safe places to stay, look for local places and free tourist things to do. Set an amount with a little flexibility within that budget.

6. Restaurants: only go out to restaurants for special occasions and look at the menu before going to check out prices. If possible go during happy hour when things on the menu are cheaper.

Set clear priorities for essential categories like bills, groceries, and savings. For instance, when grocery shopping, utilize coupons and apps to find the best deals, and always stick to your shopping list to avoid impulse buys. Reduce transportation costs by planning your trips more efficiently and using fuel comparison apps. For special occasions, consider gifting experiences rather than material items, which can often be more meaningful and less costly. When dining out, it's beneficial to limit restaurant visits to special occasions and exploit happy hour deals. Moreover, allocate a specific budget for travel by researching affordable destinations, looking for free activities, and booking accommodations that provide value without breaking the bank. Engaging in community events or local attractions can also be a cost-effective way to enjoy travel. Remember, staying committed to your no spend challenge is beneficial not just for your wallet but also for cultivating mindful spending habits throughout 2025.
