I started this volunteer work because the cost of mental health services are insane. Finding someone who actually cares is hard. Waiting lists for therapists are way too long. Mental health should be just as important as physical health! But since money seems to rule everything, I decided to crack the code and give free coaching to anyone that is struggling in life. I decided to do the coaching online to give people the convenience of staying home, the ability to remain anonymous, and the ability to access any resources that I have available instantly. It was convenient for me also. I already had devices and Internet. I just needed a platform. I discovered that Discord was free and had everything I needed: an area to post resources, text, voice and video chatting, private messages and private voice chat, a place for group sessions and lots of other features. It was perfect.
