最近、水道料金の将来について改めて考えるようになりました。EY新日本監査法人の試算が示すように、人口減少と老朽化した水道管更新費用の増加は、私たちの生活に大きな影響を及ぼしそうです。実際に全国の約4割の水道管が法定耐用年数を超えているという話を聞くと、安心して水道水を使い続けられるか不安になります。 私自身も家計の見直しをしていて、水道代が将来的に上がるリスクを考慮するようになりました。節水を心がけたり、市販のボトルドウォーターも選択肢として検討したりしています。厚生労働省の資料によると、市販されているペットボトル水の約4割は水道水をろ過・殺菌したものなので、安心感もありますね。 ただし、手間やコストのバランスを考えることが重要です。単に値上げを怖がるのではなく、今のうちに節約策を講じながら、「安心」と「お金」と「手間」のバランスを自分なりに整理することが、未来の水道料金に備える上での正解だと感じています。 これからも家族と一緒に話し合いながら、変わりゆく日常にしっかり対応していきたいと思います。水道料金の未来は他人事ではなく、私たち一人ひとりが考えるべきテーマだと改めて感じました。
