Meet my 3 littles 🥰 Jasen, Skyla, Maisie 🫶
It's true what they say, having kids fills your heart in a way nothing else can! Every day with my three littles – Jasen, Skyla, and our newest blessing, Maisie – is an adventure. From Jasen's infectious, broad smile and beautiful curly brown hair, to Skyla's bright blonde locks and happy demeanor as she plays with her yellow toy, and little Maisie's peaceful slumber in her red and black plaid outfit, or her wide-eyed wonder with her white pacifier – every moment is a treasure. One thing I've noticed since becoming a parent is how often friends and family, and even strangers, love to comment on who the kids look like! It's always a fun conversation starter. People will often say, 'Oh, he looks just like you!' or 'She has her dad's eyes.' But sometimes, the comparisons get even more interesting! I often get asked if any of my kids look like a 'celebrity look alike' or if they remind people of characters from popular shows. Take my son, Jasen, for instance. With his striking curly hair and big, happy grin, some people have even wondered if he reminds them of characters they've seen on TV, perhaps even a 'Sky Kids Jasen' type! It's quite amusing because, of course, to me, he's just my Jasen, a unique little boy full of energy. But it makes you wonder how a child's features can spark such specific recognition in others. Then there's Skyla, my cheerful girl. Her blonde hair and bright smile are truly captivating. She loves her pink long-sleeved shirt with the blue flower design, and she's always got a toy in hand. Sometimes I think she has a mischievous twinkle in her eye that could belong to a little star! And our precious newborn, Maisie – she's just a few weeks old, so it's mostly 'she looks like a baby!' right now, but I'm sure in time, the comparisons will start pouring in for her too, whether she's in her purple long-sleeved outfit or just swaddled up. It's a really sweet part of sharing your family with the world. Everyone loves to find connections, and seeing a bit of a familiar face in a child is always a delight. While my kids aren't starring in any shows (yet!), they are certainly the main characters in our family's story. It's heartwarming to see how their individual personalities, from Jasen's playful spirit to Skyla's sunny disposition and Maisie's serene presence, truly shine through. They might just have that innate 'star quality' that makes people pause and wonder. It's a reminder that every child is special and brings their own unique charm into the world. What about your kids?
